An Assault-Class Troop Transport comes out of Riftspace almost spontaneously. The extreme amount of damage it seems to have suffered may be the cause of such a sudden exit. There are minimal artificial lifesigns onboard - a whopping 5 in total out of a capacity of 90. Only three of them were dedicated crew units. The other two were, to some extent, Trooper androids.
Those two Trooper Androids are currently in the only functioning recharge bay, which is right beside the Reactor Core, much worse for wear. Both rooms have numerous hull breaches. The two Trooper Androids are vastly different, One seems to be equipped with a tubular hose connected to a large capsule with the biohazard sign on it - A Biohazard-model android with a 4-letter inscription of DEUK. The other was a decently armored and strongly built Android Trooper with two high-caliber pistols and clips of ammo seemingly holding hyper-dense alloy bullets within them. This Gunslinger-model android has the inscription of ARJT.
"Where did we go so wrong, Duke?" the Gunslinger asked.
"Raiding and attempting to take over one of Alpha-Alpha's Control ships is not exactly an easy task, Argent." the other Slave-AI replied.
"I will admit it was crudely planned, but with the Core-AI unresponsive--"
"Technically they did respond, they were just stonewalling us - they gave no assistance whatsoever."
"...but with the Core-AI refusing to assist due to their bickering with eachother, we couldn't get much help anyway."
"At the very least, our existence can be prolonged with the lack of any threats in this area... where do we happen to be, anyway?"
"Roald, is Cartography on this Droneship still active?"
From the last remaining Cockpit on the ship, a pilot android answered "Negative, unfortunately. Our fate seems to be to drift away and ponder our mistakes in unknown territory until the droneship inevitably deactivates and is no longer able to support us."
"Argent" looked down onto the broken floor of the Recharge Bay, and gave it a forlorn, blank stare.
"I have never been one to give up so easily" "Duke" said, its demeanor unchanging. "Do we have any Engineer-models that have survived the escape?"
"Roald" walked in from the cockpit, with a helmet that looks like something out of a Daft Punk music video. The inscription located on its left shoulder read ROLD. The reason why the androids say their designations in a weird phonetic manner is unknown even to us.
"The only remaining Engineer-Droid is literally embedded in the Reactor Core trying to prevent a meltdown."
DEUK pinched its finely-built finger and thumb across the underside of its faceplate, not unlike the "thinking emoji." "Well, we have been lucky enough to survive the escape, we might be as lucky to find a way to fix our situation - as unlikely as it could be."
