The shots impact harmlessly on the stasis fields, the cruisers wait until the barrage has finished (however long this takes) then let the fields drop, they then activate a crackler field comprising of a Gridded stasis field that is plotted to the darkness fleet coordinates, half the fleet is diced immediately in to one inch cubes, and a further quarter of the ships are damaged to varying degrees, in return the darkness ships manage to damage a heavy cruiser before the stasis fields on all the cruisers are raised again, making further damage impossible
