The three escorts pull back and the shuttle docks with the frigate, the docking collar locks on and the doors slide open, A squad of troopers in bright white combat Armour marked with medical insignia and led by a young lieutenant in a smart uniform with a kepi cap rush out into the corridor
Trooper Sergeant Jameson: "SECURE SECURE"
Lieutenant Steel: "All clear as it seems Jameson you may stand down for the moment"
A group of Quarantine operatives walk out to the area secured by the troopers lead by a young doctor
Doctor Adams: "Now, let's see what is going on here"
Lieutenant Steel: "Nothing much as it appears, which makes me nervous..."
The troopers Ready their slugthrowers nervously and scan the corridor.

Going through the walkways they find nobody... literally nobody... but moving on, they come into an a bit larger area, which is piled to the brim with dead bodies... But not sorted, more like dragged together and thrown around... And then you see the large bitemarks on them: Some of them larger than a humans upper body.
Stacked under the pile, you see someone calling for help. Conpletely disfigured, with his legs and one arm bitten off, he's whimmering and crying for help...

Steel: "Decontamination team 1 start scanning and dispose of... Waves hand ...this, Points at two troopers you and you see what you can do for this poor unfortunate"
The Decontamination team uses portable F.A.E (Fixed Area Effect) Heat throwers to start disposing of the corpses, (using medical scanners beforehand of course to ensure that they don't accidentally immolate any more survivors) several of the troopers set up a defensive perimeter around the room, while two of the Troopers helped by Doctor Adams lift the survivor out and start patching him up using small Medi-stasis fields to keep him stable whilst the operation is in progress (The days of patients dying under the knife were long since gone). They manage to patch him up enough that he is now in a stable condition physically, Sergeant Jameson walks over:
"How is he?"
Adams: "He'll live, and will be up and about if we can get some synthi-limbs for him, poor chap aint very talkative though, he just sort of sits there and sweats"
Jameson: "Get him on a hover stretcher, I'll try and talk to him, if he gets hysterical you may have to sedate him until we can get him back to the hospital for therapy"
Jameson (to the patient): "How are you my lad, feeling any better? you're in safe hands now."

The young Karagarian, looking around in the corners and still whimmering... His black skin glistering with sweat and his mangled beard completely standing upright:
"They, They're in the Shadows! Don't go in the Shadows! They will come and eat you! But, But they are hurt too, they have some kind of disease... Normally they wouldnt do this... No, No this is not normal behaviour... This!"He points at the Staple of bodies"This is not normal! No, No No! Don't go in the Shadows! No! They will come! Oh, No!" He clearly has a trauma and has seen some stuff...
In this very moment all station lights go out... It has just run out of power. Their time is now...

Jameson: "OK, we'll have to just work with what information we have"
Steel looks at the small medical telltale all Hospitaliers have embedded in their wrists
"No abnormal medical readings but i think we had better break out the respirators, I, Jameson Decontamination team 5 and trooper squad 67 will continue onward, the rest of you fall back to the shuttle and re-secure it, also, get some of those arc lights set up around the shuttle tube, make sure there are no patches of shadow, turn on all the lights in the shuttle including the duct maintenance lights, i don't know what were up against but if this guy says it is 'in the shadows' i'm not gonna take his words lightly"

A planetside fighter that somehow made its way in space appears near the hospital that once orbited Celestia Alpha. The pilot managed to configure his magdrive to work with the whole plane by whacking the drive repeatedly until it worked and sent them close to the sun of the system, when the pilot proceeded to whack it with twice the force. Soon, the drive decided to send the plane to the Hospital. The travel has messed with the fighter's drone that powered its systems, causing it to go rogue and fight with the pilot over control of the plane. The fighter arrives at the Hospital with both brakes overheating and mangled. Neither of the pilots activates them, fearing for their own life in case with the drone and for his and his co-pilot's life in case with the human. The fighter crashes in the docking bay without severe damage to the crew.

The manual control panel shows that both LaMGs broke down and the drone core is not functioning. The pilots send a transmission.

"Greetings, we are here to inform of Offworld's possible collapse. Please, open the hull at once, we are about to suffocate. This plane was not even meant to go in space, it barely has any oxygen reserves. Do anything but inform Offworld officials about our arrival. Please, hurry."
Transmission end
The plane looks much like Offworld's scrapped "terrastral" E01 fighter prototype. The original had a simple black paintjob, however, and only one such ship was produced. The crew of this plane seem to have somehow stolen it and refitted for own needs, such as putting a small cargo bay instead of the fuel and oxygen reserves in its tail, as well as installing smuggled laser guns that could've been sold for insane sums in Offworld if not for their origin.

As the troopers move back to the shuttle, they look around in the complete darkness that surrounds them. Their flashlights attached to their slugthrowers brightly shine the way. The Way. Then, one turns around and sees that there is nobody behind him. But he swears that he didnt start off as the last one. In fact, there were three other troopers behind him... One second after the other, something big softly drops down from the ceiling. Behind him. Nobody had noticed it because they just shone at the ground. The trooper feels the warm breath of it caressing his head, and a drop of saliva dripping on his head... With all his power he turns around to face a massive wolf-like creature, a shoulder height of 4-5 meters, looking at him. But it does not look normal. It looks pained. Like something is in its head, forcing it to act liek it does. Then it lets out a terrifying howl, and the trooper cries in fear with it. It bites down at him, severing his head and upper body, ripping his heart in half. Then it shakes its head violently, and little flesh bits fly everywhere... The other troopers farther to the front turn around in fear, but all they see is the remaining bloodbath...
Soon, from seemingly everywhere a howl comes, there have to be a lot of them... All of them having a disease driving them nuts and killing in excrutiating pain...

The pilot falls out along with the door. It is unclear what was he trying to do with it before falling out. Anyway, he stands up and greets the team.
"Hello, fellows. We've said "fck this" and left the ruined government. Why bother killing what already kills itself? Anyway, their leader, Hexer, is presumed dead. Nobody really knows if he has any-"
A voice emerges from the plane's inside.
"Yes, he does, I'm tracking it."
"Tracking? Holy Deus, what can't you see in this universe?"
"Your usefulness."
"Ehh, as I said, he has a backup-"
"-In the Second Tau Empire, precisely."
"-yep. We could either bring him back home to resolve this dumb ars-"
"You can stop it, we are in a more or less official environment."
"-to resolve this dumb war he started, interrogate or kill him. Of course, if we promise to do any of the latter, you will most likely kill me as allies. This way, we do not promise anythin-"
"Speak on your behalf, Alerauf."
"...well. We could not decide what to-"
"YOU F- ah well, go on."
"We could not decide what to do next. Can you help?"
