Tson U pay us for a percentage ownership of a patent. When you use the parts in a patent, you have to pay for the percentage of the patent you don’t own. The more of the patent you do own, the less you have to pay. Also, when somebody has payed to make parts with the patent, you get that percentage of the profits. If you own over 50% of the patent, you have to pay nothing to use those parts (manufacturing costs aside), because you have majority! I’ll sumarise:
0% patent owned = parts cost 200%, you get 0% profit
10% patent owned = parts cost 180%, you get 10% profit
20% patent owned = parts cost 160%, you get 20% profit
30% patent owned = parts cost 140%, you get 30% profit
40% patent owned = parts cost 120%, you get 40% profit
50% patent owned = parts cost 100%, you get 50% profit
60% patent owned = parts cost 100%, you get 60% profit
70% patent owned = parts cost 100%, you get 70% profit
80% patent owned = parts cost 100%, you get 80% profit
90% patent owned = parts cost 100%, you get 90% profit
100% patent owned = parts cost 100%, you get 100% profit, you rich boi
