The Small center vessel comes to a stop next to the field, and begins charging a teleporter-device to test if it can move a cargo container through the barrier around the field. after all, unlike FTL, teleporters work by reconstructing an object at a different location, rather than manipulating spacetime.

Unlike FTL, the teleporter prototype has a range of only the length of a ship, so for now is only a concept. but if improved correctly...
