Mezmerro 1) All thrusters are instant-fire, while vanilla ones have start and stop times on anything but small thrusters.
That was intentional, at least, I think it was. I wasn't happy with the vanilla thrusters having to charge up before thrusting when I first coded the thrusters, but it was so long ago that I honestly can't remember.
Mezmerro 2) Thrust and fuel usage is all over the place compared to vanilla thrusters and even each other
Yeah, I was sloppy when I first coded the thrusters. They probably the oldest parts in all of GCW, because everything else has either been recoded because I got off my butt to do stuff or because they were broken by an update and the mod upgrader didn't exist.
Mezmerro Also small beam turrets are literally incapable of firing continuously because of their tiny battery size - they run out of ammo faster than 2 loaders game assigns to them could reload them even from adjacent reactor. If they had double battery size, they could have 3-4 loaders that actually could supply them with continuous stream of batteries.
Are you talking a single laser beam emitter or two placed side by side? Cause back in the old day, they were some of the most powerful weapons. Yes, I nerfed them to hell, but yes, they needed to be nerfed. I have considered giving them the capacity for 3 batteries, but that'll require a graphics update for them as well, which I simply don't have time for in this update.
the-good-guy what is the helix 3.0 AI? i cant see any major differences between regular ai's
An experiment gone wrong.
