RandomCommander he Idea of "A United-Nations-esque organization" will forever live on - hell, the Collective or even a Core-AI thereof may eventually find themselves the head of such an organization, and in that event, I will definitely make sure to let you know.
The UG will be gone, but not your original dream. Since I really hated having to pull that mini-speech on you, I was thinking of another way to continue being a wonderful part of the forumverse. I see that perhaps having a super-helpful organization made of multiple factions is something you probably don't have the capability for, but perhaps something in a smaller scale and similar would work? There is something to help with that:
RandomCommander A forced disbanding, rather than a purging. This means some assets of the UG will continue on, but with a different purpose, rather than just outright destroying everything and anything the faction owns and stands for.
The things you have built and are actively participating in the forumverse will have a second chance. "The faction will die, but it will leave something behind" is what I'm trying to say - but it would benefit by being repurposed, otherwise other factions will seek to hunt it down, and eventually hunt your new faction down too, repeating the cycle. To help against that, the Collective will help protect you as you start out - At first they are definitely going to seem threatening, but their main purpose is diplomacy, so don't worry about them nuking everything unless you royally screw up (which I know you won't 😉)
