The scientists have apparently deleted all logs of magnetic transportation devices, specifically one that creates potent EMP fields and spins them at near-light velocity, causing a semi-controllable wrinkle of space-time. The wrinkling leads to extremely inaccurate travel as well as accelerating various probabilites around itself, as the drive features an understood copy of an object mined from the Ridiculum Meteoron. Sadly, this object is just completely required to function, is not fully understood beyond accelerating probabilites and wrinkling all sorts of fabrics when introduced to magnets, but also may or may not have sentience.
