RandomCommander Jamming systems on the dreadnought halt the distress signal, and a weapons lock is acquired on the Trader's FTL drive. The message is clear: Do not attempt to run or call for help.

No amount of jamming could stop the Rift from being opened, however, noticing the weapons lock, the Beacon does not travel through. The light defender droneships screen the beacon from incoming fire that may or may not happen.

LeftHandofGod Over half of the New Scavangers fleet (a grand total of 4 Lightning MK 2’s and 3 Lightning MK 1’s) come to meet the invadors. Hoping that they could speak some sense into them before it’s too late.
