EpicJp21 Slipspace technology utiises nether portal like sub-space technology, allowing ships to travel through certain levels of slipspace. Slipspace comes in different levels of "intesity", the higher the intesity, the faster the travel, but also the requirement of the structural integrity of the ship to survive the harsh slipspace environments. Low intesities of slipspace don't require a strong ship, but can make the crew nauseous. FTL drives are different from slipspace drives, as they don't utilize sub-universes, but instead bend a small portion of space-time to engulf the ship and make it appear in a new location.
