Walt That is the problem. All drivers are up to date and Cosmoteer does not open. He opened it. But out of nowhere, it stopped working.

Is it possible that the graphics card doesn't support some of the Direct3D features that are needed to run Cosmoteer?

I see "Direct3D Feature Level: Level_9_3" which is very old.
I believe a DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR could be caused by a feature that is not present being called.

Cosmoteer should support all the way back to 9_1. Plenty of people have cards that old.

In theory a missing feature should give a more informative error than that. In practice, DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR means that there was a driver bug that caused a crash, so who really knows, it could be a driver bug caused by a missing feature.

That file only gets generated if the game runs and exits without crashing. Try manually create a settings.txt file in your Documents\My Games\Cosmoteer folder and paste in the following code:

Not entirely sure, I think your GPU is just very old and weak which could cause issues, did you manage to play Cosmoteer successfully before?

Maybe try turning off the texture compression. It might not be supported by your graphics card.
