We destroyed it but lost connection with the other two ships before they did FTL.

A video message is sent from Alerauf that went with the Expedition on his tiny-tiny stolen ship. It shows apparently him with a golden squarish object on his wrist swinging it on his own ship and in the next moment, teleporting right behind a batteryman of the Drakon Sword and cutting off the person's whole head with one strike from some sword-shaped flash from the squarish object and teleporting back moments later.
"That's microjumping for ya! Did that like 5 times before drives had to regen. Don't try this at home."

I DOO know a great way for mining outposts. Put a Command center in the middle, then surround it with the ships that will be used to defend the command center. After that, put the mining ships around the defensive ones, making it really easy to mine resources. It will help with chain of command and such, even if the outpost is attacked, it should hold up.

I would like to know if my empire could be given a planet rich with resources, since I have given a lot of ships and command centers. About 450 ships to be exact.

Oh there was also some shiny golden stuff but I left it, we don't need any extra metals.

Apparently, "we" didn't realize that everything sent to one person of the Expedition can be also doubled for any other. Alerauf packs his old-model magnetpack and the model M-MWFS Artifact and microjumps to the debris. He searches the debris, but the magnetpack is performing way worse than any other personal spatial transportation tool. However, there is something shiny right in that passway...
