As the station charges up, a lot of things happen that the Ever Legion notice. First things first, it seems evident that signatures that are pattern-matched to be Core-AI signals have reactivated near this sector, and are boosting the performance of all Dimensional Collective ships. With this additional power, more interference is generated, making communication a little harder.

But it seems this was intended. The Collective in this sector are stepping up their defensive efforts, Hacking attempts to disrupt vital Legion systems, Travel-Jamming systems of various kinds, from FTL-Travel to Rift-Travel, and the sighting of newer DC ships with newer technology - however not as advanced as the "4th generation" Collective ships seen in incursions against the Mak threat. They seem to be "elite" ships. With all the interference, a long-range scan is nigh impossible.

Inadvertently, the Subcore seems to be malfunctioning from this cascade of signals. The main Command center blast doors seem to crack slightly. Surviving drones report that this room... does not seem to be a room, but a different world entirely. What are your orders?

((I'm just trying to make this quick - its still possible for the Ever Legion to gain a foothold in this sector, especially AFTER the starbase leaves.))

The Victory-class vessels have notable trouble warping into this sector of space, Heavy turbulence was encountered as they warp in and multiple hull breaches were detected. Minimal crew casualties on all ships, none of them suffered critical system damage.

A wing of Trader-Class Freighter vessels and Patrol frigates head toward the Victory-classes, and scans show they are carrying materials, tools and notable android models made for repair and restoration.

The Gateway One Starbase has begun generating extremely high energy signatures, suggesting an FTL-Capable system is charging up. The resulting jump will cause massive disruptions across its current sector, and all civillian-class entities are advised to cease all activities and retreat from the sector before the FTL systems of Gateway One are fully charged, to avoid any unintended disasters.

The assumed location of where the Starbase is jumping to cannot be discerned at this time.

After a while, you receive another hail, from the repair fleet again.

RandomCommander a suden, violent explosion tears a Victory apart, as its dark matter drives explode..... the station itself is knocked a little bit, but 2 of the othr 5 vcitories are torn apart due to a chain reaction. However, im bored, so giant explosions. This explosion opens a small hole in space time, but the zurks close it using unknown tech. They also place a time bubble around the explosion ,right before it wouldve hit the rest of the fleet.
"Allocate your repair vesssels to the remaining ships, and please engage your defenses... we have no idea what the dark matterdrive explosion was caused by, but more info is inco----" the transmision is cut off, as a pirate vessel uncloaks and attacks.... and the victory class vessel the commaander was in is torn asunder. You detect several hundred emergency broadcasts, and can literally feel the rest of the zurkonian armada warp to the secen, several hundred victory class battleships.. They target the pirate ship, but realize its a titan-class vessel.... the fight is long and hard, but you recieve a transmission
" Warp faster... our vessels are trainng our dark matter drives on you, so you can leave.... go here: classified and wait.. .we might be with you... if we dont die first."

The Dark matter energy sent by the Zurks were actually transferred into a different starbase system entirely... the communications array. It seems the Collective are also sending reinforcements of their--

Without warning, and without reason, a supermassive thunderbolt streaks across the field of battle from an unknown location, piercing through the Titan-class pirate Dreadnaught. The resulting secondary explosions split the massive ship from the middle down, the force of multiple reactor explosions of high intensity (perhaps stolen dark matter drives?) throws massive chunks of debris in every which way, shattering the once-terrifying ship into thousands of pieces. A booming voice, without transmission or any discernible source for that matter, nearly deafens everyone in the sector:

"The Collective have no time for such petty interferences."

((Yes Prime just smited that pirate dreadnaught. Yes that's OP. I am not having a pirate ship derail the entire plot I have planned. Sorry for the inconvenience.))

the zurkonian fleet warps off, knowing the voice is an ally now. But the original guard, of 4 shps plus a couple to replace the fallen ships..... stays behind...

Something tells me they may be working in tandem with forces of destruction like Thrawn's Empire and the Darkness to disrupt the natural cycle of the universe..."

"Highly unlikely. As of yet I haven't any idea to Thrawn's motives, but even the forces of Darkness understand that there is a cycle to the universe. They wouldn't overstep their bounds, would they?"

"As I said, the Ever Legion continues to complicate things. I will donate a fraction of my power to this station in order to fend off any future attacks. Since this is your station, I will let you direct which systems it will go to."

The Station and its surrounding forces suddenly emit a white glow. Gateway One's experimental jump drive systems are charging much faster than normal. A new type of "Scout" drone also begins turning up, heading in a beeline for the Ever Legion forces. They, curiously, are not emitting a white glow, but the portal they are coming from is.

The Zurks take notice, and raise shields to full power levels, as well as recall all fighters. Their anti-matter drives are spun up, preparing for either an emergency jump, or to follow the station

The missile systems on the cruisers and bombers fire first, locking onto the small targets, then the cruisers startfiring cannons in a high-spread Flak pattern whilst the crescent skirmishers and brawlers engage the scouts oneto one where possible
