Well it looks a lot like a GPU driver issue. To have a fps drop from 56 fps to 5 fps indicates that the game is no longer using your GPU. You can check if the game is using your GPU by looking at the log file.

Generic suggestion is to make sure your GPU drive is at the latest version. However, if you previously had no issues there is a possibility that an update actually broke something. So rolling back the GPU driver to an older version could be worth trying.

Yeah Zerg this happen to me sometimes when i spawn big ships my games go to 3 fps but after her go to 40 fps back sorry i cant solve the problem

Mrowte Well my computer can handel 10 of this Lusifers and 1 calamety....I dont know how prefomence can get so low.

zergRush99 Have you posted a log file somewhere? Every time the game runs there's a log file generated that has some configuration information in it. Maybe there is something there that would suggest what is wrong. I am not sure.

The "Using display adapter 0" should be 1 not 0.

Since you appear to be using a laptop check your power settings, if you haven't already, the graphics card maybe disabled (look in the power options menu for windows).

If you run some other graphics heavy game is it also slow?

Walt I dont think so, I played Warfram on ultra graphics and its smoth as butter(And where do I find this option?)

zergRush99 You could try opening your settings.txt file and setting AdapterIndex = 1 to tell it to use the 960M, but I suspect that will just prevent the game from starting since there aren't any "outputs" (displays) listed on the 960M. That's actually very normal for computers with both integrated and dedicated graphics -- the only GPU that the game can actually "choose" to use is the integrated graphics, and then the drivers for the integrated graphics handle automatically switching to the dedicated graphics when appropriate, which games have no control over.

Edit: My advice is to make sure your drivers are up-to-date, make sure your computer is plugged in (often not being plugged in will make it switch to integrated graphics only), and make sure your computer is set to high performance mode and not some low-power mode.

Walt Everything is updated....and on power....I dont know....I tried the Settings....yeah didnt worked.

zergRush99 I guess you could try looking at the NVIDIA controls to see if you can tell whether the graphics card is being switched automatically to or not. Might also be some settings to tell it to prefer running Cosmoteer on the GPU.

zergRush99 How about trying the opposite. Telling it to not use the GPU and instead run on integrated. Obviously this will make it slow but might be worth testing to see if this stops the crashing.
