As far as I know the most forward firepower that can be fit into the normal 100x100 build grid is from a missile U.

Previously, the follow was my most powerful ship,

However, due to improvements in crew task prioritization I've created new missile blocks that appear to have higher missile output without crew becoming confused or increasing chain explosions too much.

The following ship appears to have no difficulty defeating the above ship,

(Okay, I did increase chain explosions a bit but I think it is tolerable.)

So if you want you can try to beat this ship.
(No mods and only other restriction is that your ship needs to fit in the normal 100x100 build grid.)

Since @Dalas120 was able to beat the above ship with a dedicated heavy point defense ship here is a revised version that should be somewhat more difficult to hard counter.

I originally wanted to use ion beams but they didn't have enough range so I settled for using large cannons.
I've also added some electro-bolt banks to help with disabling point defenses.

You made me to change rules, to counter ship you already know you should be able to deal it with 50% resources. And I usualy did, there are only 2 players who designed ship im incapable to take down with half of credits, Teg,Keylocke, and now you.

So i took wery outdated design which i create to chase Keylocke kitter, and used it agains your second Uship, unfortunatelly, you always win in time when i cut you ship into two pieces and one take me design back.
So, i redesign a bit, and result is below, please apologize my terible budget, sometimes my ship perform even bit better:

Now, its time to find your last ship cracker, but from what i see, you realized weakneses of your ship and you removed them all.

Dalas120 Yes, that works. The weapons range increase with version 0.13.4 has has made the back missile launchers on a U ship more vulnerable than in the past. Previously, to get in range would bring the ships so close together that PD wouldn't have enough time to respond.

I'll see if a version that uses some quad ion cannon arrays in the back instead of missiles is stronger.

Dumb I'll try it latter but it probably doesn't have enough point defense.

Dumb To hold off the missile barrage seems to pretty much take a specially designed ship like @Dalas120 did.

Here's the result of a battle against the other ship you posted. I think it was pretty clear what was going to happen after the first salvo hit.

Also I've added a revised version of my ship to the original post that doesn't rely entirely on missiles.

That ship should be somewhat more difficult to hard counter.
