FangTheCat The simplest way to fix this would be to make the shield less efficient (more energy drained per damage absorbed).
To change this, inside the txt file for the drone (e.g. 'defense_drone1.txt' which can be found in the
C:\Users\ [username] \Documents\My Games\Cosmoteer\Mods\Lafiel.Abh_mod[version]\defense_drone folder)
search for the text 'AmmoDrainPerDamage' and change the following value to something higher.
Maybe try 1 instead of 0.25, which is what I see it as being currently set to.
Alternatively you could reduce the drones power output but this might causes issues such as not enough power for thrusters and weapons.
