It'll save it as the blueprints if the blueprints are at all different from the ship's physical state.

Not sure why it saves dark -- that's a bug I've never experienced myself and haven't figured out yet.

    Walt Still, it'd be better if, instead of taking a picture of the screen as it seems to do, have it generate the image file acording to some other in-game constants (related to the blueprint). But i'm not sure how it works, maybe i'm just spewing nonsense xP

            can you make a webpage were you can upload ship designs and you can download them?

            Alec There are already two places for that. This forum, and the Discord. Please realize that hosting webpages require money. While I'm sure Walt likes the idea of having a dedicated webpage, it will be made obsolete once the game is onto steam.

                  Walt It saves dark when you have "Show Ship Interior" when saving a ship design. It also seems to happen in Blueprint mode, since that by default seems to show the interior.

                    Enigmatica This has happened before 0.12.10rc3. As far as I know the exact reason it does this is not known.

                        Actually, I believe it's entirely the fault of saving while in blueprint mode. Will fix it for the next update. Thanks!

                            @Walt is there a chance you could add hangers or hanger doors that sop ships from moving or store them somewhere a bit like a ships has a hanger and you tell the ship to go in hanger and it disappears and an icon appears over hanger and if you press that you can choose to release the fighters< do you get what I'm saying ???
                            or just a hanger gate or door that holds a small ship in place until its needed or something, I dunno I just would love for something like that to be implemented into the game for large fleet battles as you could suddenly surprise enemys by opening the hangar and releasing an army of fighters, hope you see this ans hope you take my idea into consideration,i would also love more weapons and or types of energy weapons or others etc .....

                            Is there an easy way to make ship designs spawn in bounty hunter mode? Even if it involves some editing of txt file I wouldn't mind for my own game's sake. Just got into Cosmoteer and I'm instantly addicted! Would pay for 10/10

                              Look in Data/Bounty Mode/bounty mode.txt. It has a list of all the ships that can spawn.
