N hears a knock on his door

RandomCommander The crewman was successfully relocated back to the Scout and was placed in his bed for resting, since apparently the Scout's doctor was ill and couldn't risk infecting others.
He calmly asks the security of the 1st floor of the Residence to come to his office for new instructions via a basic handheld transmitter. The security guards shrug and approach his door.

DocSlime Suddenly, the crewman was enveloped in a light - a light that came from a scanner on the drone the crewman was on. After being scanned, the crewman heard a "ping" coming from the vault, and the crewman turned to see a figure probably four times his own size, waving with what seems to be a not-so-angular hand in a T-shape and blades coming out of...

"Thank You." Said the Heavy Scout drone that scared the crap out of the crewman.

The Heavy Scout docks with the Offworld Scout, in which the Heavy Scout said "Please disembark. Have a good day."

N ends up actually changing instructions to check his office every 10 minutes and otherwise perform duties as usual. He also tasks the guards to order a small hardlight knife and a derringer-like hardlight caster for self-defense. Engineers said that the weapons will be shipped in an hour. N's previous conventional knife and telescopic railgun-like baton were gifted to the guards due to lack of any other use.

Much like the scan conducted by the Offworld the scan comes back corrupted. A cloaked being is standing in a corner motioning for the Avatar, his hand similar to a Storm's. The vault begins to emit a transmission but when decoded it is nothing but gibberish.

Inside a horrifying creature lays dead, holding a vial of the white liquid seen earlier.

N hears two strangled screams outside his office

translatorofthehiveminds The crewman resists the urge to vaporize the creature immediately and carefully takes the vial, reporting back to the command about the vial. The command tells him to attempt and open the vial and examine the liquid's smell, viscosity, and even taste. After about a minute of conversations in the Bomber, they decide that "he is not capable of determining its surface tension" and don't tell him to examine it as well.

translatorofthehiveminds The Avatar, meanwhile, adjusts its new gauntlet to make sure it is in a non-threatening figure, and steps into the vault. He eyes the cloaked figure warily.

The Jackal watches the crewman conduct his tests on the liquid until he gets to the taste test. It growls and a shadowy hand grabs the man's shoulder. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," the being says.

A whisper-like chuckle can be heard before the figure disappears into the shadows. As the Avatar continues his walk to the console it can see glimpses of a skeletal jackal watching, but as soon as any further thought is put to them they vanish.

translatorofthehiveminds Familiarity hit Window-Null like a Scavenger-grade poking stick on a capital ship. If the Collective Avatar had the capability to smile, he would be doing so right now. Albeit only a small smile.

Window-Null interacts with the console and awaits transportation.

translatorofthehiveminds The crewman shrugs, and reports to the Bomber. Instead, its pilot commands him to place an accurate drop on the crewman's left arm. The crewman puts the vial on the floor, proceeds to perform something like a ritual, pulling out very tiny golden and damascus steel blades and accurately pokes his thumbs with them, barely spilling any blood. Then he consumes whatever blood did come out and attempts to spill the liquid on his arm.
(Gonna wait until there's a confirmation on guards.)

Window Null is transported to a small floating island. In the center a singular tree stands it's leaves a pale green and it's flowers white. A singular being stares up at its branches. It's long cloak of feathers covers up its form, but as the slight breeze moves the feathers it can be seen that nothing is underneath. Despite this however small clouds of condensation are being produced by some living thing under the cloak.

Reflex-Jacket picks up unorthodox signals coming from the capital of one of the Offworld planets. It could be a party gone wrong, a political debate about to come to blows, or... perhaps an assassination attempt? Regardless, it worries Reflex-Jacket to some extent.

He momentarily considered going planetside to see what is going on, but decided that the political backlash that would result was not worth it, and continues watching the Vault.

The being sighs and dissipates. As the liquid touches the crewman arm it rapidly begins to pulsate and forcefully graft itself to the arm.

N immediately contacts the guards to escort him to the Residence's main hub, where most conversations are settled and decisions are made. Then he slowly begins to realize that the screams were guards and he foolishly gave them weapons. He pulls out ritual blades out of his pockets and contacts... Okeloxul. N commands him to wear a hazmat suit checked by two loyal employees for its condition and arrive at his office. Oke X takes the hardlight knife, fresh off the workbench, and moves toward the office.

translatorofthehiveminds The Collective Avatar's single eye dilates for a bit, then he begins to bow. "It is an honor to be in the presence of-- Wait, I should be sure this is the Devinity Actual I am speaking to before I go and embarrass myself. Double-checking is a natural debugging process in science."

translatorofthehiveminds The crewman again responds back to the Bomber. The command requests him to punch a wall with the affected arm, which is immediately done.

The being perks its head up as it hears the sound and begins moving it's body as if submerged in water, its back unnaturally curved, and the area where a head should be is twisting around unnaturally yet in an elegant manor. Each footstep echoes throughout the space and frost builds in patches where the being's feet have made contact along the way to the Avatar

The liquid crawls away from the point of contact and begins eating away at the Crewman's arm. Quickly however it detaches on it's own soon after starting.
