yobeefjerky I just wanted a map that won't fall victim to memory loss and can remember the tiny details whilst still being easy to change, as your computer does most of the hard work of figuring out borders , credits alliances and resources for you. For it's scale, my computer can't really handle billions of stars, unless I did use some serious optimization techniques of which will take a long time to implement. 🙂 but it can handle thousands of stars and it's resident factions and planets nicely. The only problem of a faction holding >1 million stars is the aspect of control and stability. it would realistically have to be really tight on its stuff in order to not be split in two or get couped - which is a problem I'm going to implement >🙂 it won't be annoying until you start taking over 500 or so star systems which is plenty.
For adding factions it's just dragging a shape around the stars you want and selecting a capital
