As the shadow hunter come closer to the battleship to hail the ship, it poses a blue aura and what seems to be plasma base weaponary.

What would cause such an energy spike?
"I am unsure, it could possibly be a ship, but we have nothing on any of our sensors"
If that is true keep our heading. Once our scouts return our assault will begin. I will not go hunting for spirits.

The ships decloak and fire, causing massive damage to the hull and knocking down the engines and the communications.

Whenever you said "Jarl" I always thought of the Brotherband Chronicles series which makes me want to say you shouldn't have a High King but an Oberjarl, for consistency, but at the same time I'm like well maybe not?

Solarwatch Well could also be Skyrim, those had Jarls and a High King...well until he was Fus Roh Dah´d to death...
Or it´s it´s just based on early nordic society, Vikings and stuff, not sure if there were a Oberjarl or High King of sorts.

Drakador_Chaos , Solarwatch Really depends on what source material you read. In Norse society Jarls could be under a king like figure, much like nobles were to kings in the middle ages. However Jarls were warlords and could be independent and have no king figure as well. The actual name of said "king" is lost to time so most references refer to them as a king or high king. Most of my lore is based off of the show "Vikings" and Beowulf as well as a few other sources.

Northerner yeah i just got that from a fiction book where "Jarl" is similar to governors, but report back to and "Oberjarl" which would be like a king- almost absolute monarchy except for a few key differences, notably, when one dies or resigns, the next is elected, but I digress. either way, my "source" is a fiction book series, so yeah.
