..the scouts find a old ship wreckage, it seems to be abandoned, the damages are from no weapons the Lightning Union has seen before...you could probably collect some parts of the ship, or search the data logs...

...you received some data from the logs, while the rest of the crew started collecting ship parts, but when the data transfer was complete, the self destruction sequence activated... the Lightning Union crew was able to flee but all they could salvage was 2 reactor cores and the ftl drive...

Update on the lightning union

The lightning union has now completed a successful raid on Greenfire @ , having blown up a base and gained valuable intel. During the raid, a stowaway workshop-boy, Orion @moddedwarfare , managed to save a member of the lightning union, john, and has now been promoted to “Engineering Department’s best boy”. Of course, the raid was not cheap:

In other news, works on the Thunderstorm are now complete. We can now use the ship for exploration, scouting and other purposes.
