...hmmm...let me start like this: there are many races out there, connected to the old gods, some of them more, some of them less, the Cult is a direct descendent to the old Calamity, one of the old gods, which was still forged by one of the Ancients, the reason why there are so rarely stories about the Ancients is... that they do not wish to be found, they left and observed. From where? This is... not a thing to be known by beings of this layer of existence, yet. Some of the old gods are still here, however they´re just as difficult to be found as it´s dangerous to find them, after the old war, most of them went either insane, or sunk into hatred, some were exiled by the Ancients, others sleep, waiting for all days come to end. At this point I should probably note, that most of this information is prohibited, your elders may know, your kings and queens may know, but...should any of this information leave your race...it might have "unpleasent consequences".
