      So, it's not the best title for an update, I'll admit but honestly with all the whiches and whatsats that I have changed, this is the best name I could think of, and honestly, it's fitting!


      Even if it doesn't look like much, this is the most work I have done on an update in the history of Drones ++. I have poked every part of this mod with a Scavanger Grade Poking StickTM , trying to make sure every part of it was squeaky clean for update 0.5! Now, a few of these changes may be controversial, I mean, in any update, what changes aren't controversial? I'll try my best to walk you through them, so they aren't that controversial, so listen up peps!

      + Drone Cores now have a ring in blueprint mode, showing the area they will power!
      The area in which drones power can be a little bit controversial, am I right? I bet you often say to yourself "Do i need another core here?" or "Does this core reach this cannon?". Well with the help of this Powering Area RingTM , you'll never have to guess again!

      + Added a logo to the title screen
      So long as you don't have another mod installed that does a similar thing, on the title screen you may notice a little drone, attached to the Cosmoteer logo, how cute!

      + Drone cores are now a little explosive!
      As you know, Reactors supply power, and are explosive. Drones also supply power, but are not explosive. Well that has now changed! Drone Cores now deal a small amount of explosive damage when destroyed, both reducing parts and exploits, at the same time! It isn't as significant as a reactor explosion, but it can still cause chain effects, and fire, so look out!

      + Remade textures for:

      • the Drone Core
      • the Large Drone Core
      • the AI Module
      • the Auto. Sensor

      Yup! The veterans have had a long overdue update! Taking the place of the old textures are new, original textures and sprites with nice bevel edges and animations!

      + New "No Connection" Symbol!
      Drones will now show a no WiFi symbol when they are out of range, as apposed to a no crew symbol! This will make it easier to understand for noobs why their drone core isn't working!

      + Changed part descriptions
      After watching some of @MacGhriogair 's videos, I could clearly see where some of the part descriptions failed their purpose, most notably the @Teg ship reference. Although it was a fun an innocent joke at the time, I realize Players who are not familiar with the community will not understand what a @Teg ship is. Of course, the reference is still there, but I have added in the same measurements in meters, for reference. I have also changed some of the descriptions to fix a few misunderstandings.

      + Fixed a bug where parts were not being powered
      + Fixed a bug where the Large Drone Core remains controllable, even if there is no connection
      + Fixed a bug that caused the Auto. Cannon's icon to render incorrectly
      + Fixed a bug that caused some textures to inherit the color of the ship

      Drones have a shorter delay when they go out of range.
      NO MORE WAITING 30 SECONDS FOR THE INEVITABLE!** Drones will now take at most 10 seconds to power down when they go out of range! On the same note, they will now power up much faster when in range too!

      + Nerfed the sensor radius of the Auto. Sensor and the large drone core
      I realized that, for it's size, the Auto. Sensor was just a little short of the Sensor Array's radius, making it far to OP.

      + Changed the Auto. Gun

      • Nerfed the Auto. Gun's firing arc to avoid it shooting into the ship.
      • Nerfed the Auto. Gun's accuracy
      • Nerfed the Auto Gun's damage
      • Increased the Auto. Gun's Fire Rate

      This was necessary to make way for the upcoming resurrection of the drone laser. Don't worry though, it still has the same DPS!

        I posted this on the discord, but I think it's worth mentioning here, too:

        Dude, there should be a Drone Shield. A 180-degree shield with a small radius that doesn't take much energy, but is rather weak. A med cannon would be able to do damage to the shield, and an electrobolt will outright destroy the module in two shots (if even possible!)
