The portal closes behind the Omega ships and Darkness portal drives are too complex to understand, let alone operate.
Trapped in enemy space with no way to return to their own dimension, the Commander has no choice but to wait for death.
Then, suddenly, a glimmer of hope appears. At first it seems like another darkness ship, but upon inspection, the commander realizes that the design is noticeably different.

The ship is badly damaged and deactivates its weapons shortly after seeing the Omega ships, though its shields remain active and its thrusters primed.

sill very impressive (and the fact that your PC can run a ship with over 1k crew)

Yep.

Problem is my PC really doesn't like me building it, so I had to use Copy/Paste a lot in order for me to actually built it.

Otherwise, I would have put more effort into the design.
