Amazing_Goob These things seem dangerous... but that has caught the attention of Terribili. Not in a murderous way, but in an interested way. That is, interested on studying them. He sends in a large fleet to attack the Alveare swarm.

Sombreroman The fleet happens upon a few workers mining.
They all attack. They are all destroyed almost instantly, but before that they released nanobot messengers that act like pheremones, calling in reinforcements.
A huge swarm comes in, immediately attacking.
The flood in, causing mass confusion.

In the end, the Domini won, but at great cost. All that was left were 2 broadside runners, 1 tachyon decimator, and a couple of jauntleaves. Meanwhile , all the Alveare lost were some easily replaceable soldiers. so this was NOT a tactical victory.
Amazing_Goob Terribili grew annoyed -very- quickly. Although he isn't a perfect logician when it comes to robotics, he manages to realize something is controlling them in the system. He sends out a couple of Jauntleaves to scout out the entire system for stragglers.
Sombreroman Half of the Jauntleaves never some back. the other half finds a singular soldier or worker and bring it back.
Amazing_Goob Terribili Demands to see what they've seen, and If they've seen something different.
Sombreroman They report, no, they have not seen anything different, just more workers and soldiers.

Amazing_Goob Quick to anger, Terribili demands them to triple their efforts. He is growing more suspicion that something isn't right.

A thick vine seeps through a wormhole. As it advances, there seems to be multiple flowers attached. Upon closer inspection, the flowers have... eyes? Then they all speak in unison.
