Altraxia I don't think it was a necro. After all, it is a contribution to the discussion and the mod is still active.
My suggestion:
Shields hidden only when impacted
Because the shields aren't eternally visible in the actual Star Wars.
I'd want this mod for 0.15.6
Altraxia It is not in the works currently, but it is something I would like to do eventually in Tech II. Might be a 2 part weapon to help break it up.

What about ion torpedos seen in mon cala cruisers and rebel ships they where hyper specialized to destroy shielding it could be a good method to make fighters more effective in combat also hanger plz

Buff ion cannons
dafeeeeeeeeeesh They are already gamechanging. They are anti-shield primarily. Using a few can take out large shields.

I mean yes but also their cost makes them kinda impractical to use at times and their shot speed is horrifically slow, i find them losing to a ship that replaces the ion cannons with laser cannons or turbo lasers.

oh and the triple turbo laser does half of what a med turbo laser does isint very useful in my opinion

Super_Mapper We don't have any talented artists working on the team right now, and there is a backlog of stuff that needs artwork. The other issue is as soon as Cosmoteer makes a move to Kroom artwork a lot will likely need to be changed to fit in.
