Research outcome:
After studying some fundamental physics, researchers from the TA have concluded that roof-mounted weaponry, which was made available by the technology called Star Wars a Cosmos Divided, needs at least a semi-stationary foundation to work. Any rough movements along the x, y or z axis will make these turrets jam stuck. This means that only ships designated as a station, or any other stationary vehicle, can use the SWCD roof-mounted weaponry.
SUMMARY: From now on, only Stations* can have roof-mounted weaponry.
NON-RP (real) REASON: After doing some tests I found that these turrets are pretty OP.
*Stations or any other stationary vehicles. This means: Any ship that is not intended to move away from it's location of use, or fight in a battle (or at least at the front line)(Yes, I am looking at you, Ares' Spear), but still has some weaponry to defend itself in case it gets attacked anyway.
