ProntoManagement where the two armor plating is you want to replace that with a laser
I'd suggest replacing the middle laser and armor with a shield. Shields in general are really REALLY good. They stop you from dying to cannons immediately, and scale really well the more shields you have (shields will regenerate while other shields take damage). Especially in bounty, you want to keep repair costs low, and the earlier you get one, the more money you'll get later.

I for myself discovered Drive-by missiles as a way of dealing with bigger enemies I would else be stuck with. I made a ship with 3 or 4 missile bays, big engines and barely any defense to zoom by full speed and take out some weapons or pieces.
I could post pictures or the ship, if anyone takes interest.
