Bubbet Are you planning for a smaller wire starter? I really want to make small drone ships or at least less manned ships in general. A true spacecraft wouldn't require 50 people to run it as everything would be automated. This is a huge step though and i thank you. It's just hard to make it fit. I would even suggest a starter that works as a generator as well, to reduce parts needed on ship. It would be extremely appreciated.

AllensFish Its because i don't use the game to zip it, i use a much easier thing for me which apparently doesn't play nice with the in-game zip handler.

Thanks for figuring that out, I've seen a couple of people with that error now.

SirGrim The starter is intentional to not have it automated, and its big because its designed for larger ships, its rather difficult to balance that you know.

SirGrim Its been asked about a couple times now, and I've thought about making a smaller modification that makes the wires lossless and include the stuff you talked about.

Bubbet You place down a starter, and crew will fill it with batteries, then you place wires(there is arrows on the blueprints that show the direction) And you can turn the wire without any issue despite the graphic not connecting, and when you've reached your destination just make sure a arrow is pointing into a part and it will give it energy, that can be done via directly a wire, or by a distributor for a reduced rate.

I mean you can see it move the energy via the graphic, each wire has a different movement value, generally the starters are slower than both the others, and the distributor is slightly slower than the wire. I've found the wire can handle about 3 distributors at the start.

how is that cable energy system works, because i can't figure this out. meaby mod doesn't work for me ?

Bubbet, your mods were like the only mods I used inside the game (they are great), now I deleted all mods and downloaded this new one.
'D:\Cosmoteer\Mods\bubbet.placeholdermod-0.0.3\mod.txt' not found exception when installed via game's installing thingy. And this big log I already saw in discussion when done manually.
hope you are working on this, cause i can't play with my bubbleshielded singlebeded ships now(

manualy unpack zip to game destianion into mods

Arcturus You have to install it manually, extracting the zip into the mods folder, make sure when you open the mod folder you can find the mod.txt directly inside of it. Then it should work fine.

piesio98 It would look to me you have things all messed up, allow me to make a picture of how it should look hold on.

piesio98 You're missing the enemy ship alive somewhere, like in my picture there its just a thruster on the enemy team. This is one of the parts that require enemies alive in order to function. Limitations of the game, nothing I can do about it. Ive looked.

yeap that's it, shame that this is not working all the time but thanks for help

                error...I hope it gets fixed

                Update 0.0.4
                Adding new wire types.
Underground wire, goes under one block.
2 way splitter, splits the energy in two ways instead of 3.
                Distributor re-balances.
Fixed final ammosprite for all wires.

                tinycube Whats wrong with it?

                Bubbet
Told ya, tried manually after reading all replies above, it crashed the game with that pile of text that you"ll take a look at it, no promises though"

maybe something with file/path names? Game version 0.12.9
should i paste whole error message?

Bubbet I would tentatively argue that it doesn't necessarily need to be extremely balanced. It just needs to be realistic. Of course balancing is important but not to the level at which we cannot have fun with this stuff in creative or modded bounty hunter mode. Personally i most of my time in creative and then i go to bounty hunter mode to test my ships out. So you could feasibly make a version that is more suited to realism and fun rather than the standard campaign. And I know it wouldn't be very difficult as I've poked around in your code. A name change maybe and some tweaked stats. All in all, love your stuff and I'm glad you're doing it!

Arcturus Perhaps it doesnt work with 0.12.9? I know for sure it works with 0.12.10rc2 though, because ive personally tested it on that.
That other guy was also on 0.12.9 when he posted that error.
