The old captain shoots her another look, but this time she does not stop talking, and shoots him a look back.

The others start to look worried, and Kiani speaks into his comms for a moment. All hands are on their weapons now.

He waves to his officers and Isaiah.
"Isaiah, speed it up you damned avian!"
Isaiah angrily growls and speeds up running alongside, looking at the Gamilians as she runs.

Crilo yells out to the germans as they leave.
"Good luck, my german brothers and sisters! I will send visual comms between us allies as soon as i return to the Valorous!"

"Zhe might of Gamilas. Ah yes. Zhe glorious might of a faction nobody has barely heard of."

Her smile turns serious, and her glance of superiority changes to pure coldness. As she begins speaking these next words, the German soldiers suddenly stop talking, looking over to her and nodding to themselves.
"I have seen our entire Reich collapse and rebuild itself vhen I was a child. I saw zhe Vaiaelon Bombers overhead, heard zhe explosions and zhe burning of zhe flesh of my parents, I saw zhe massacres and zhe burning piles of bodies. I know vhat xenos do to humans vhen noone is zhere to stop zhem. Ve paid with our blood, and ve rose again, stronger zhan ever before. Ve are grasping for zhe rule of zhe stars. Zhe fact zhat ve are even sitting at zhe same table vith you should be a wonder to you-

As the alarm blares out, the old captain shouts from pure instinct immediately:
"ALARM!!!"

The soldiers throw themselves backwards and grab their rifles, putting their helmets on hastily, orders are being barked, the admiral gets up and rallies his men. "Zur Raumfähre!!!"

with that he turns to Brank Crilo.
"Good luck out zhere. Dont let zhe xenos get zhe best of you."

Then they depart towards the shuttle.

Suddenly alarms go of all over the place. Red lights blink. The minister of defense runs towards the big window. Massive warships can be seen over the atmosphere.
"IT STARTED!" the minister shouts.
The first shots of the warship flying a few dozen kilometers over the station, hit the surface of the planet. The building shakes, a few guardsmen fall. dust falls from the ceiling.

They immediately rush to their shuttles, and take off, engaging the cloaking device as they do so.

The german shuttle arriving in space, the admiral barks orders to establish visual communication immediately and demands a status report.
"Vhere are zhey??"

The German ships move into a defensive position in their designated defensive location.

"Have you seen your entire planet destroyed, you family and friends lost, and have you had to flee your entire universe to escape the invaders, have you experienced the loss of all of what you know dear? I think not! Damn you!"
He turns and runs to his shuttle.

The ID Return to the shuttle as it shoots into space, landing on the Valorous. All crew return to their stations and Isaiah retires to her quarters, clearly done with today's bullshit. Crilo Barges onto the bridge.

"BATTLE STATIONS! I want all comms off and visual communication Only!"

The Ships near the assault begin to send out visual comms through blinking lights as their guns come to bare, railguns slugging it out with the arriving enemies as hangar bays hiss open, squadrons of fighters accompanied by swarms of automated drones. Across the fleet the spinal weapons located on most larger ID ships flare up with energy, some railguns and others are particle accelerators. As

meanwhile....
The artillery begins to swerve, aiming at the unidentified Foe and waiting for the signal to unleash, the longbows charging their lances, while the other ships load their railguns...

The minister of defense starts to run towards a door
"We have a well equipped control room under this building. Its the safest place now, but if you prefer a death in battle, you can go up to the fleet."

"We command at the front with courage, not with cowardice at the back. Retreat is not a word in the Gamilas dictionary."

As the shuttles arrive at the fleet a communication is opened to the GSR fleet. It is Alpheratz, with a sour look on his face.
"We may not agree, but we can argue about that later. For now we fight for a common friend."

The Gamilas ships begin to form up, battleships and dreadnoughts to the front, cruisers and destroyers to the side, and carriers in the back. The three Gelvades class carriers begin launching DWG-109 debakes and DMB-87 snukas.

The starbase has by far the best sensors, and starts to give any information found to the others. It detects hundreds of small signals, followed of a dozen far bigger ones.
It rotates, showing its mighty , armored top to the attackers. It acts like a shield for anything behind. The main army command is located at the center of this mighty station. The battle will be won or lost by it. The first enemy barrage hits, the railguns rip their way through the armor and shields, but the multilayer armor design combined with a chamber based structure are able to prevent major damage. The missile batteries of the station fire. From the planet it looks like a wall of fire flies towards dark spot on the night sky. one of the dreadnoughts flies by the station, letting enemy fire focus on it. The fleet was caught of guard, but wasn't completely surprised. The cruisers and frigates stay back for a moment and behind the station. The missiles of the dreadnought are guided by the station computers, giving them more accuracy at higher speeds. The lasers of the dreadnought cut a couple of cruisers down into pieces, before needing to cool down. The railgun damages an enemy captured dreadnought of the same type nearly beyond repair.

With a grinding sound of gears being turned the German ships bring their guns to bear, aiming at the enemy, specifically at the larger dreadnoughts and cruisers. Then.. like a flash in complete darkness the cannons open up, blinding nearby onlookers as the massive projectiles of the cruiser's main guns make their way to the enemy, the 8.8cm FlaK autocannons providing close-in cover from missiles and shells while the destroyers use their weaponry to target smaller vessels.

On the cruiser "Pechrabenvogel"s bridge the admiral directs the fire upon targets, shouting orders from the top of his lungs, the order to protect the station is given.

There would be no retreat today.

Seeing the threat, a small strike group, consisting of a downsized dreadnought together with a couple of cruisers and a handful of frigates start to power their engines and move towards the group to engage it directly before it can ready itself. The smaller dreadnought cant turn well, but it can build up speed. The forces charge towards the artillery. The small dreadnought, multiple kilometers in length, aims to pierce the enemy lines before turning. the cruisers fly behind it, so they don't get shot down easily

The first fleet (The one commanded by Kiani) turns, and identifying the alien fleet, opens fire. The battleships and the dreadnought from a cylinder, guns bristling on all sides. The carrier, after launching it's fighters flips it's deck, revealing six 220mm positron beam turrets. The cruisers and destroyers stick to the sides, forming a cylinder. The advance screen forward of the capital begins to pull back, making a rapid series of Geshtam jumps to the rear of the planet. Alpheratz's fleet forms a wide arc, with the dreadnought and one of the battleships in the front, the cruisers on two sides of them, with the battleship and carriers behind (One battleship and one carrier on each arc.) and the destroyers as a screen. The carriers launch eight FWG-97 Dorshia torpedo bombers (In addition to the debakes and snukas), then flip their decks, preparing for battle.

"ENEMY ON APPROACH; ENGAGE IN DEFENSIVE PROTOCOLS"
The AI's voice rung across the ID Fleet, singing in the ears of every soul aboard the ship. The Artillery focused fire on the dreadnought, swathes of weaponsfire lashing out from the Artillery and the fleet alike. From the Longbows comes a wave of long; thin particle beams, the projectiles moving at relativistic speeds from the sheer acceleration put into them. Pilums fire their railguns, the long weapons shooting out huge, thin, sharp shells at insanse speeds; not quite that of the particle beams, but near-relativistic in nature; while Javelins fire out swarms of Anti-ship torpedoes and missiles from their sides, point defense; coilguns; and defensive shields and interceptor missiles sit at the ready to defend against oncoming fire. Meanwhile the rest of the fleet nearby fires their weapons, railguns and particle lances and missiles alike setting course for the enemy lines....

"WARNING: FIGHTERCRAFT LAUNCHING; WARNING: HANGAR BAYS OPENING; WARNING: PLEASE VACATE HANGARBAYS"
On the hangars of the ID carriers people cleared out quickly into airlocks before the hangars opened up, the artificial gravity keeping everything inside; including air; but opening the ship up to dangerous micrometeorite impacts and radiation that could harm unsuited personnel. Wyrms and Silverhawks launching with interceptopr munitions loaded...

The second alien dreadnought turns by, facing the German forces with his front. The flak does a good job at destroying most incoming rockets, but that quickly changes: with a quick burst out of its laser beam, the dreadnought hits multiple cruisers, inflicting only light damage to some, but critically damaging others. The next moment, a swarm of small rockets, to many to count, set on their way to the next cruiser.
The rest of the alien fleet doesn't remain silent. After a few seconds, the cruisers and frigates start speeding up aiming to surround the starbase and find weaknesses at any side. The ships hiding behind now have to swarm out and intercept any possible enemies. The main armament of the starbase, the big laser beams, try to get as many enemies as possible, but also hit allies on accident.

On the very edges of HDC space the Hesperus-Class Vesper PRO-190 exists Slipspace quietly. Interested in the large influx of communications traffic and ship profiles pinging its sensors it decided to investigate. With its stealth protocols engaged, the Vesper moved towards the source of this large signal flare.

As there are only two cruisers, they both receive the damage, one of the missiles getting in a lucky hit and disabling one of the main cruiser turrets.
A destroyer moves up in front of the cruiser in a bad moment, takign the brunt of another rocket swarm, almost being knocked out, with only the excessively thick Kruppstahl armour protecting it from crashing down upon the planet.

Enraged by the destruction, the captain of the "Albert Obernstett" orders the german void bombers to be deployed together with several squadrons of fighters.. Their target: the enemy dreadnought.
And so, as the German heavy cruiser and destroyer turrets kept on firing, slugging massive projectiles full of explosive towards the enemy, in the hangar of the "Albert Obernstett" pilots checked their gear as they jumped into their fighters and bombers, activating the engines, which jumped with a roaring sound of fire to life, and directed the crafts out through the massive hangar blast doors on the far side of the battle.

Speeding up as they left the ship's shadow, Sturzkampfbomber squadrons "Anton", "Bertha" and "Cäsar" consisting of each five bombers were escorted by six fighter squadrons of each ten fighters, racing towards the enemy dreadnoughts.

Swerving to avoid the enemy fire, they readied their torpedoes and, after having closed in, simultaneously press the button to fire.
As the squadrons pull off and away, fifteen German anti-ship torpedoes came racing towards the enemy dreadnought, carrying enough explosive charge to vaporize an entire battleship, that is if they were to hit of course..

The dreadnought, heavy and slow as it is, has no chance of dodging those. Only latest upgrades, still equipped while under HDC command, allow it to have a chance in this fight. In nearly no time, the first centimeter of armor melts, and becomes plasma, which is moved towards the incoming projectiles to form a thousands of degrees hot barrier that either melts or redirects the missiles. With the limited technology the HDC has, the captured dreadnought doesn't has a good amount of control over this kind of shield, and it is unknown if the torpedoes can survive it.

The torpedoes can most definitely not survive a wall of molten plasma, and as they are engulfed by it, they detonate on the outer layer of the plasma wall. Their fiery explosions one by one expand and engulf the side of the dreadnought in a spread out pattern of destruction, and while they were not able to penetrate into the heart of the ship before detonating, their explosion on the side of the ship sends out a concussive wave strong enough to break cruisers in half, so one can only wonder what it would do to the outer layers of the dreadnought...

And while all this is happening the bombers pull up and around, readying themselves for a second pass, their plan: To fire into the hole which the first wave of torpedoes created.
