BattleCruiserCommander Does this mean the Bounty Hunter ships are being retired, or are they still being used?

Most existing BH ships won't be used in the new Adventure Mode because they are no longer legal (due to building rules changes) and aren't designed with specific factions & gameplay in mind. But any BH ships that can be upgraded to be legal under the new building rules I will still include for use in creative mode.

Walt will, with the author's blessing, certain existing BH ships be converted into factional standards, such as the "inspirations" you used on your lore documents? It seems like it'd be superior to convert ships, rather than leave the disused in creative alone

The "captcha" on google forms was pretty extensive, there also was an error on the first try sendig it ... so hopefully all applications for starship architect got through. (ofc not much u can do about that googlecaptcha 👀)
Also google renames the files and adds the google acount name after ".ship"

Potentially, but I want to establish a style for each faction before doing that. Those ships are just inspirations and may or may not match the eventual style for the faction.

Just an update for those waiting to hear back about this: I have received almost 40 (!) applications and will be going through them in the next day or two. If you want to be considered for the first batch of hires, please get your application in ASAP. (I may hire additional designers later on, but can't guarantee that.)

Walt I've finished enough of this coding that now the next big step is to design a whole bunch of ships/stations for the player to fight against, trade with, and go on missions for.

Does this mean you can release a beta for the game? Like the game in it's current state so we can just fuck around? Asking for us all. This is should be removed once the planned beta is out.

Walt I dunno, I'd have to think about that. I've generally said no to people selling Cosmoteer stuff. (The one exception I've made so far was for charity.)

Afair Cosmoteer will support steam workshop, but trading there is still in question then i assume?

Jared Legal working age can also be a minor. He also says you need parent or guardian permission. Most places, the legal working age is under 18. (14 is usually the youngest, with 16 being more average in the United States)

Walt One reason would be I haven't designed a large vanilla ship with all the new parts and things since.. 2018? And I've gotten a lot better with design since then, ironically. So for someone like me to apply, I'd need to create 5 entirely new ships.. guess that kind of comes with the job but..

I am pleased to announce that Cosmopyr, Hatter, 0neye, Vilda, Saris, and Door have been chosen to design the new ships for the paid/Steam release! It's possible but not guaranteed that I will hire additional designers in the future.

Thank you to everyone who applied! Even if you weren't accepted, I still have your application on file and will keep you in mind if I decide to hire again. For now I will be closing the application form.
