Heading straight to the Great Future was the gravest, and last mistake of the capitain. If he had taken any route that wasn't facing its front, the results of such an action would have been devastating, however, the MISE had foreseen that people would use high-potency projectiles from the front, with the fool's errand of hoping to destroy such a massive threat hastily, and had designed what was originally meant to be a countermeasure against the legendary Eye of Doom from the Bloodcult.
The countermeasure was kept well hidden, as the enemy ship didn't know of it when the concentric spinal weapons fired a massive projectile out. At the first moment, it was harmless, but as it encroached onto the suicidal ship, it sprung into motion. Each of the missile was on its own a large Alcubierre FTL drive, they exterted immense gravitational influence towards the center, and due to their concentric nature, something that would be impossible to replicate with any other ship, each of its gravitational influence worked in conjunction to create a potent gravitational well within. It encompassed the path of the incoming suicidal ship, as it hopelessly collided with the strong gravitational currents amidst the missiles, petalling out and grinding into a halt as several massive chunks of its mangled hull drifted fowards, almost harmlessly, before being pulled into the capital Ship's proximity and incorporated into the shielding. The Missiles composing the Gravitational Well Countermeasure were destroyed in the process, serving the duty.
The relativistic weapons present within the Great future (EAC lasers, Polarizing beams) spring into motion, focus targetting the enemy fleet's main weapons. In response to the possibility of weapons fire, shield projectors launch shielding projectiles at possible paths that the enemy can take, adding more resistance at whatever they wish to shoot at the capital ship.
