Dumb
Gil's movement slowed to a practical halt, the speed of light itself ground down to a snail's pace, and Y3's quantum synapses worked a heavy overtime. It was impressive that this apparently human boy had deployed tactics that warranted Y3 thinking as fast as he could manage, though impressive alone does not win fights. After running through a couple of options and seeing their possible outcomes, a solution obvious to the point the Qunit was embarrassed it wasn't his first thought emerged.
A thousand tiny thrusters dotted throughout his armour spooled up and began projecting him into the air. In this heightened state, the process was agonisingly slow for Y3, who began the mental equivalent of twiddling his thumbs. Eventually he soared through the air, above the encirclement and Gil's path. He began the motions of swinging the blade down to where Gil will be, and slowly eased himself out of his maximum reaction speed.
In the time all this happened, Gil achieved a singular footfall. What Gil saw was his target practically teleport above him, and swing the broadsword towards him at breakneck speeds.
