    why is PD unlocked at T2 but Missile Launchers at T4?
    Shields should be T1 or T2. T3 is too late.
    Cannons are one of the most basic weapons and should be T1 or T2.
    FTL has to be T1 unless you are guaranteed T2 by the end of the first sector.
    Large thrusters T3?
    Large reactor should be before or the same T as high capacity storages
    Maybe less tiers cause that's quite a lot of tiers
    I'm sure there's a lot more balancing but the 1st one I mentioned is the only big flaw in your Tier system 🙂

      1) Cause in this version you might come across fighter craft which may be engagable with PD
      2)i agree with this, ill move them to tier 2
      3)T1 is starting tech, t2 is unlocked easily???

      I don't think any of the amateur ships have missile launchers

            I'd unlock the Emp gun before Large shields, or even before medium shields.

              Now that i've analyzed it, your idea isn't really a Tech Tree, it is a Tech Line, since it progresses linearly from rank to rank instead of fanning out into multiple choices like an actual Tech Tree. Would be easier to implement, i think, but wouldn't be as cool as an actual Tech Tree, where you have to choose to either research one or the other.

                I just realized I made a post about a skill tree and now looking at this XD

                  Just to add on maybe have system modules such as damage, defense, speed and other more technical ones like a module that decreases power usage for systems on a ship. An extra thought, these modules should probably go into a ship computer or something like that. What do you guys think?
