gearshift48 The Yan'me Scatter, Buzzing and Firing on the Guards. Some with Type-25 DERs, some with Type-25 DEPs, and some with Type-33 GMLs. The DERs Blast Against the Shields, Slowly Melting through the Metal, Outer layers of Slag Falling off of the metal. If it Hits the Carapace. The Green Blasts of the Much Weaker DEPs Also hit the metal, slightly melting outer layers. There is a Powerful Hum, as a Yan'me Charges the pistol, Energy Violently Crackling, before a Huge Ball of Green Plasma, the size of the Gun that Fired it, Blasts towards one of the Guards, The Ball of plasma Hits one of the Metal Shields, Melting it into a Sheet of Glowing orange Goop, Burning the Outer Carapace of the Guard. Due to the Thermal Energy created by the Overcharge, the Yan'me throws down the Gun with a Yip, shaking its Scrawny arm, before picking the Gun Back up. The GML's Bright Pink needles Streak through the Air. If any of them his the Flesh or Armor of the Guards, It Embeds into it, if More than 8 Needles hit one Enemy, they Resonate Between each other, and Explode Violently, Tearing flesh and Spattering Guts and Plasma onto nearby Guards. The Yan'me Fly About, Dodging shots. One Yan'me is Swiped out of the Air, Screaming in Pain, its Green Insectoid blood and Guts Splattering onto the Guards.

Fort_Master_Gustav the soldiers hold their position, seemingly bracing for somthing to come to them. the ones with guns are simply setting up a field of view over the shields.
meanwhile behind them... a loud whirring starts being heard

killercat625 they enter the cave with the equipment to stop a mechanized infantry colomn and heavy fortifications. they find... 3ft tall, thin, 4 legged metallic skinned creatures walking around messing with scrap. they quickly realize people are here and start screaming, running away into the tunnels

Brank the shields they carried crackled and shattered, melting away into ruined scrap. they go down quite easily from the plasma, burning through their bodies but the emp weapons seem to have... next to no effect. they dont acknowledge the electricity in their skin. if anything it just makes them more dangerous because now your enemy physically burns to the touch. this leads to the one that gets caught, getting its flesh melted and slashed through in moments, a clean burning cut and blood being cauterized.
as the corpse flies they realize they are kinda outmatched against guns and the survivors start running off

gearshift48 The Yan'me Investigate the Bodies, Carefully Attempting to Remove the Orange crystals out of them, assuming that the small ones had them, so the Big ones should too. After they remove any of the Assumed power Crystals, they move on, chasing the Other 2 that got away.

meanwhile, More Forces attempt to Move into the Caves, These Forces include 5 Kig'yar, 3 Have Type-31 SCRs, and 2 Have Type-51 DER/I's. The Force also Has 12 Unggoy, one Being the Leader of the expedition. The Grunts have assorted Weapons, including DEPs, DERs, and the Captain has a Handheld Railgun, Firing Slugs of Tungsten, as Well as Plasma that surrounds this Tungsten Hunk.

The company took a few shots at them using their assault rifles, attempting to hit them in the back and e back of the head.

(forgot to mention but) The assault rifles had dot sights as well.

The team would move forward now, as the team of aliens didn't seem to react to their presence with an advancement. The team starts fiering from the shadows, targetting the barrels of the guns of those who do have guns. The APS drone flies above the small skirmish, and tries to intercept the projectiles fired from the others.
The team moves quickly and in a pincer if possible, trying to prevent agglomerating in once place. After the targets were eliminated, they'd try to move onwards if nothing prevented them.

Brank as the initial ones turn the corner the first couple flying bugs get melted as small plasma cannons rip through them, gaurds in a shield wall and more up close, prepared to rip them apart the moment they turn the corner. this is now a siege and the bugs are SUPRISINGLY prepared, maybe because you nuked the outside world and told them "HEY FUCKS WERE HERE AND WE GOT GUNS"

gearshift48 The Remaining 14 Yan'me Back up, while the 5 Caught in the Fire Screech and Die. The Survivors Pull out a Single Purple orb Out Each, they press the Red-Green Button, and Toss it Around the Corner. Suddenly, the Enemies see 14 Bright Blue Orbs Thrown Towards them, some stick to the Metal, melting into it, one or two land On the Carapace of a Guard, whose Carapace Burns as the Orbs Melt into his Flesh under the Exoskeleton. The Rest Land Behind or Infront of the Guards. The orbs Hum Sharply, and there is a Few Seconds of Confusion as all the orbs do is Burn brighter and melt Further, before a Massive explosion of Plasma, Melting through Metal And Flesh. After this Explosion, the Reinforcements Arrive.

Brank dozens of the poor buggos are dead, a small amount of cannon fire keeps returning as they attempt to turn the corner, one remaining bug standing defiant to buy the civilian buggos time.

killercat625 one of the bugs falls down as the bullet hits it, collapsing to the ground.
it appears to still be alive, but now unable to really do much, trying to ever slowly keep crawling away

Fort_Master_Gustav behind them, is a giant ass metal walker thing with what looks to be more heavy armor plating on its cube like head, 4 gatling guns, 2 on either side on turrets revving up preparing to put an unholy amount of fire into them. they should probobly act fast to get out of the way or disable the construct. meanwhile, the gaurds quickly have their weapons disabled and start running back into the tunnel further, with it being too thin to effectively pincer.

The Last Bug Hears a Loud Charging Noise, as a Small Creature With White Armor jumps around the Corner, Firing his Plasma Railgun.
The Troops move On, Yan'me Dropping their Weapons, Taking ones from the Dead Bugs, and Inspecting them, before Taking them Along Happily. The Group Continues on Left.

The troopers spring into action and immediatly deploy a smoke grenade to obfuscate the view of the potential target. In the smoke, they move around the corners and towards its back. However, the drone, controlled by the combat technician, moves towards the group of beings awaiting in the end of the corridor, and starts fiering against the mechanoid, trying to get it to unleash its fire against its own friends whilst the operatives set up a quick way to disarm it from the back.

Two of the humanoids rush up, gripping it with their strong arms and restraining it with steel wires and such. After they got it generally restrained they’d plug the wound with a rag and quickly rush it to their shuttle.

The rest of the company continued on their mission, ready to kill if need be.

Brank welp that gun boy is dead. as they turn left another soldier gets blasted by the other retreating gunman, continuing down the hall. towards the new humanoid force....

Fort_Master_Gustav it sprays aimlessly as its smoked, shattering a wall with its hail of cannon fire. meanwhile at the end of the corridor the bugs are seemingly retreating into the disruptor area.

killercat625 down the hall they see dozens of the creatures run by, in a mass panic as well as a couple gaurds escorting them. they can hear a LOT of gunfire and explosives down the hall. apperently sombodies genociding these poor bugs.
meanwhile the stolen bug is unable to really put up any resistance to being kidnapped

gearshift48 The Other Soldiers Shoot at the bug. and Continue On. They walk down the hall, and spot the Humanoid Force.

You see a Force of Troops, some clad in orange, with an Exoskeleton and Scales, some Avian Creatures with Round Shields on their Arm, Some Flying Insects, and one of the Scaly Ones, with White Armor. They all Have Deep Purple Weapons, with Glowing Blue Higlights. Some Guns also Have Green Parts, or Sharp Pink Needles sticking out of the Tops. One Of Them sees you, Puts its Weapon on its Hip. It makes a Hand Motion, and The Others Aim their Weapons Down, while the Flying ones Simply Land and Put up their Weapons. Some of the Flying ones have The Same Weapons as some of the Other Insectoids you saw, seemingly stolen.

The White-Armored One Walks Down The Hall, Hands up as if to show he Means no Harm. He Speaks in a High-Pitched, Raspy Voice.

"Hold your Fire, We're Not One of those Hostile Bug-Creatures. We want to talk Diplomacy."

The team moves out of range of the big mechanoid by running whatever place the other guards went to as well, moving low to to get hit by the metallic goliath. They send the small APS drone forwards before entering the disruptor area; They know that an extraction operation will be relatively quick once they disable the shield generator and acquire the flare object.
The forces up top move towards the general position of the disruptor's area, and breach the surface, awaiting the completion of the underground operatives' mission to continue the breeching and drop in the heavy mech suit.

"Drop your weapons, now!" Shouted one of the soldiers.
The troopers would spread out a bit now, weapons up and ready for if they decided anything funny. One of the rocket troopers was also in the front, missile launcher ready.

Fort_Master_Gustav they have entered the disruptor area. the large mechanism is to large to fit in the hallways.
you are now in a large room, far more advanced then the dirt hives of the small creatures. it extends up in a pyramid formation making a roof, with no upper floors visable. a small door in the top right corner is visable, open. they can see creatures running away, more behind them, the civilian harmless ones sprinting away to a different area, looking terrified... maybe there not alone as an invader anymore?
they see a large... object in the center of the larger room past the door. it looks like a generator, destroyed then reinforced with scrap metal coating it. the metal plates have a faint orange glow to them now...

The Forces dont Drop their Guns, just Simply Holster Them, and Begin Chatting Among Themselves. One of the Yan'me who already tossed their guns to the Side Flies Up, and lands on the Shoulder of one of the Guards, Making a Strange Buzz-trill Noise, then flying Off.

"I Apologize for the Yan'me, they are... Very Interested in New Technology, even if whatever they find is inferior to anything a Space-Faring race would use."
He Sets His Railgun Down.
"I am Captain Jap'yip. The People Back there are My Platoon, excluding the Yan'me, they went in before us."

The team collectively moved towards the big generator, and formed a perimeter around it, caring very little for the civilians that move about. The combat technician inspects the generator, opening it up slowly and carefully, trying to disable it, and trying to determine wether or not this was the flare.

he can feel his skin burning even through the armor.
civilians and a few gaurds go RUNNN not trying to fight the ones who arent actually killing them

The combat technician exits the hydraulic armor suit, which tighly fitted his body. The suit remains up and with its arms slightly extended outwards. The Combat Medic hurries over to him and sprays a kind of gel-like solution on his arms, which settles quickly into a thick goop covering his arms all the way up to the shoulder. He returns to the suit.
Now, he acts way quicker, and more carelessly. He rips the pannel off with the strength of he hydraulic suit, shearing the old bolts from the scrap metal.

Fort_Master_Gustav the plates get ripped apart as the odd lightning keeps attacking the suit. The others see hatches open in the far off walls, 8 foot tall constructs, looking like the gaurds but bigger and with 4 arms climb out, with melee weapons and cannons, guardians of the core.
meanwhile inside the core they see messes of wiring and a bright orange glow from further in.

The technician disables the wiring as he dwelves further inwards with the suit, the gel doesn't absorb the lightening, however, it provides a numbing feeling to the skin, and its homeostatic properties heal any burns it may be causing or damages to the surface of the skin.
The team opens concentrated fire on the joints of the guardians, their automatic rifles sound out bullets comprised of small discarding sabots, revealing thin pennetrator rods of depleted self-sharpening shearing rounds inside, suited to pennetrate and cleave through tough armor that disregards the degradation of projectiles, or be it, most armors in the forumverse.

The soldiers spread out a bit, the big droids back would open up slightly so the science officer could grab something.

The science officer set a box on the ground, and he opened it. There were around 30 little camera robots inside, which he activated with a single button push.
“Surveillance mission” he said to them before they scattered throughout the cave system. The little robots had long retractable legs and a little drill to anchor itself to the ceiling.

The company then followed the path the covenant took, they were given enough time to leave.
