This may sound stupid, but the medium ion cannon does more dmg to shields than the heavy one
ZendikaroftheWest That might be because the heavy version fires 2 shots instead of one so it's better but not twice as strong (I might be wrong on this,I haven't used ion cannons in a while)
ZendikaroftheWest We are redoing all the ion cannons for RC2. Those will both get nerfed and more versions are being introduced.

Fun fact, 3.6e still works in the latest version with the exception of a fighter PNG crash which could be fixed if you have the motivation to and keep the old mod's vehicle library(for those who don't want to download more mods)
DiademDracon Yes, but having a separate mod for ships reduces load times and the ships are significantly better. Why would you want worse? (Reach out to me on Discord, Jam #0384, and I'll show you how much of a difference using the new ships makes)
