The main battleship line of the Imperium war fleet lined the powerful spinals towards the enemy. The large buildups of energy within the five vessels as they all aimed for a center spot within the enemy shields. The powerful spinals of the imperium focused into a single spot with all their destructive power that could cleave away formations of enemy warships. The beams are unleashed towards the gbe formation, aiming for the center mass of the enemy force and the shields that protected the planet and dockyard.

The next thing to occur was upon the interception of the large torpedos that may even be larger then the corvettes sent to stop them, they unleashed massive explosions that caught the vessels sent to stop them, if within atmosphere the sheer volume of the noise it produced would shatter every window upon a planet and cause the largest buildings to fight not to topple. Space in its darkness was illuminated by the large engulfing explosions like stars had just formed and vanished. Another volley, each weapon targeting an enemy ship as it was unleashed again, the battlecruisers and heavy cruisers firing away their main guns upon the GBE capital ships, each beam of energy streaking through the void at great speeds to meet their targets. Another volley of missiles is unleashed from the vessels streaking away again, the first wave of missiles meeting the GBE missiles with ripping explosions as they detonate to catch them in the blast. The next wave of missiles that followed deployed what seemed a decoy screen of more missiles launching from the larger rockets. Following that were two other waves of missiles fired in the tens of thousands from the rapid rocket systems. The next wave of imperium torpedos were reloading. Faster weapons from the Imperium fleet were actually targeting the corvettes of the British navy, looking to disable the enemies numerous extra point defenses. The stationary defense stations saw volleys of main gun fire going to meet them. The gbe coilguns projectiles explode upon the formation being caught within layers of anti material shielding.

"Show them what real war is."

The commanders voice boomed from his command chair, before an explosion rocks within the fleet formation as a coilgun round finds a lucky hit and collides upon an imperium corvette, detonating the vessel as it fell from the line of battle.

The carriers and long ranged missile and artillery ships stick with the original bulk of the fleet that slowly moves forward as well as a couple of smaller corvettes, while the bulk of the ID Fleet makes in the direction of planetary orbit, closing in the distance as they maneuver around and continue slugging it out with the British ships as their railgun turrets open a volley towards the section of the GBE fleet farthest along planetary orbit, as well as medium range missiles and torpedoes beginning to unleash upon arriving within medium range. Their spinal weapons recharge while closer range fusion cannons await to come into effective firing range...

The CI spinal weapons fire converge at one of the Eclipse-class cruisers the HMS Vigilant. It smashed through every layer of conventional shielding. PCTM reacted to deploy a hardlight barrier that was struck through. The result was the weakened beam striking the broadside of the ship leaving a long streak on the hull that had grazed the armours outer layers and stopped at a layer of ceramics.
The ensuing CI missile volleys were responded with interceptors. Emperor E’s were launched and went forward to intercept and destroy the missiles with extreme prejudice beyond the missiles estimated blast radius, however they didn’t venture far enough to not be covered by corvette PD support. As the missiles closed in the lightshow of pulse lasers began burning down massive parts of each volley. The remaining missiles struck the shields. The aura flared up on the destroyers and cruisers.
”Commander, incoming enemy shells from long-range artillery.”
”Prioritize evasion of such shells.”
The obvious shells were seen and evaded.
The fleet adjusted towards the planetary orbit to meet the approaching ID fleet which was nearing long-range and would eventually arrive within optimal GBE firing range. The GBE coil- and railguns opened up their own volley with proximity detonation on their shells. Currently, they were focusing on the larger and slower approaching ships hoping for decisive shots as they were easier to hit while the secondary railguns were aiming to take out exposed systems such as radiators and weapons on ships that were heavily armoured and suppressing the smaller support ships while the defensive platforms relentlessly assaulted the opposing fleet.
The industrial thrusters arrived. They attached to the shipyards and civilian facilities and started pushing the shipyards to circle around the planet as quickly as possible as well as being able to take minor evasive action.
”Commence firing sequence for cruise missiles on our starboard flank together with interceptors and Redeemers. Our target is the artillery pieces. Then have the stealth escort approach simultaneously from our port side flank, deploy stealth missiles and unleash fire when they’re as close as possible.”
”Yes ma'am,” said fire control. ”initiating protocols for launch of cruise missiles. Cruise missiles commence fire!”
´ Affirmative ma'am. Firing cruise missiles ´ said the monotone feminine AI voice.
”Deploying laser line.”
The spines of the ships launched what could only be described as a terrifying sight of potent destruction. The massive missiles that appeared to have own weapons were launched from the spines of all 15 cruisers. These harbingers of death turned to starboard as Reedemer-class corvettes turned in from the sides and formed up with the quickly accelerating missiles followed by interceptors in formation. Their flanking manouever was so wide that ships on that side of the battlefield would barely be within range to engage them with long-range weapons. On the side away from planetary orbit, the stealth frigates received the laser line. The comms operator quickly decoded the message with the computer. The message was displayed over to her holopad. She stood up and handed it over to the captain. ”Sir, orders to approach enemy artillery undetected.”
”Very well. Fire up ion thrusters.”
The escorts ion thruster started pushing the ships forward albeit very slowly facing the propulsion away from the enemy to mask their approach with cold fusion running.

Shortly after the Imperials and other fleets had arrived and combat ensued, a number of blips appeared way out, outside of the edge of the system..
They were far away and they were few.. but they were big.
For a short while nothing happened, with a few more, smaller blips coming out of hyperspace around them, then it dawned what was happening, as from far, far away first one bright flash appeared, then in rapid succession nineteen more. Travelling towards the shields at more than breakneck speeds were twenty 10 metre calibre shells of some kind of high explosive, while far away now could be understood what the blips were: two groups of towed space artillery units, now reloading and readying to fire a second salvo. Covering them was a number of ships, from cruisers down to fighter craft.

On the bridge of the lead cruiser Großadmiral Volkers stood, watching the battle ensue through the windows of the main bridge..
"Wie lange, bis die Kanonen nachgeladen sind? (How long until the cannons have reloaded?"
"noch eine halbe Minute, Herr Großadmiral. (Half a minute, Great Admiral)"
On Volkers' face a slight smile opened up as he nodded slightly..
"Gut...gut."

The artillery crews worked frantically and methodically to reload the massive, hulking artillery pieces while the rest of the fleet kept a watchful eye...

They sit in traffic for a few minutes and descend upon the capital. They pierced the scarred skies of Anrillia. They landed on a landing platform on in a highly decorated area. There were beautiful trees in a large garden. The leaves of various colours gliding through the air in the Anrillian autumn. The bushes were finely cut and lined up beside the steps and paths. In the centre, there was a tall finite statue of Lokion raising a flag to the sky and pointing his officer's sword to the east. The ramp deployed. "This is the executive center for the directorate."

KrankysFirebrand48 "Ah, the Revian Federation is a newer nation to the galaxy, by which I mean we only just established a stable FTL route from the Trapezium Star Cluster, to the G-S16 galaxy. As far as the nation itself goes, we are a federal republic comprised of 4 sectors that send 5 representatives to the Revian Parliament. We have three branches of government. The Legislative branch deals with voting on bills, electing our Prime Minister, and diplomacy to name the main functions. Our Judicial branch mainly keeps the other two branches in check, but they also deal with trials and whatnot. Finally, the Executive branch deals with policing, military action, and all things having to do with armed action and national security. Of course, this is a very watered-down explanation but it would take hours to go over the various departments and whatnot."

They now had arrived at the statue and was walking around it. On the gold plack it said: "In honour of the valiant men and women who fought for justice. 'The first sunrise is east. There we will find victory.' the words of Grand Admiral Lokion on EED August 25th 3657, day of reckoning."

Dasha begin thinking about the countries she had been in for her lives, both ruled by an absolute body encompassing all powers, but despite they both being quite "authoritarian" in nature, this new home seems to feel way more "friendly" than the last one.
Of course, as a foreign embassy of an "independent" organization, Dasha decide to keep her mouth shut on the matter, and just toss out some complements instead.

We're all brothers and sisters and we have a duty to look after each other." Ontaria admires the statue, "His will persists." They approach a large white building. It seemed old with dome roofs, white pillars of exotic minerals, windows perfectly smooth and ornaments of finite and exotic metals. There were multiple guards standing at the entrance in a perfect line. Their armour was red and they carried spears, tall battleaxes and banners with lions, eagles and union jacks.

Aboard Vice Admiral Anastasia's flagship, the IDS Revelation, a squadron of fighters are about to engage in their combat patrols around Fleet Theta, as the "Seraphim Squadron." Made up of primarily drones with Veran operators, the Seraphim Squadron is known for it's skilled pilots.

Lieutenant Colonel Rodriguez: "Alright fellas, lemme tell you what's what: we outnumber the GBE, I don't know the numbers. We can't be reckless, though. Each man down is a man they have over us. We have our drones to help out, but don't rely on them. We gotta shoot down any son of a bitch who thinks he can sneak in and bomb our ships, you hear me?"

All other pilots present: "Yes, sir!"

Rodriguez: "Good. Lemme tell you one more thing before we go; lead you and your drones to each target individually, don't group up on one bomber. Any fighter escorts are to be dealt with by your drones first, you guys go out and knock out the bombers before they release their payload."

Other pilots: "Yes, sir!"

Rodriguez: "Now get your asses outta here and give 'em hell!"

The pilots, few they may be, leave the room alongside Rodriguez, boarding their fighters. Climbing into their Silverhawks, the drones boot up and prepare for launch. The drones, DF-1's, are numerous, controlled by the AI of the fighters. The AI in the fighters can handle up to 2 drones at once. Though cheap and somewhat expendable, the drones serve as a massive force multiplier for Fleet Theta.

The sortie then begins as the pilots launch with extreme speed, going into their patrols of the larger ships.

The rumbling of drums, the thunder of guns, each boom like a large slam upon them as they were fired at enemy ship and station alike, Another volley of the energy weapon barage firing forward towards enemy positions as the advancing wedge of imperium ships fired forwardly, they begin taking a hard starboard at a roughly 55 degree angle as they reform into battlelines, the thundering of broadsides soon following from the line of ships. The light counter fire from the gbe impacting upon the shields of vessels, a lucky shot slamming into the side of a corvette as its entire rear is blown off and it begins drifting from the battleline opening a hole within the defensive screen. A reserve corvette being rerouted to try and plug it before its exploited. Another volley of missiles is let loose as streaks and clouds and plooms of smoke fire upward from the vessels and streak towards enemy plane and warship alike.

"We keep them occupied for now, that is the job we were promised and ordered to uphold, now show them a battle where someone else may raise their young."

The ID kept moving onwards, intent on their goal, railguns lashed out like the beat of drums as ships shook from the firing sequences. Point defense and flak coilguns struck at British projectiles and any fighters that dared get close to the Dominion warships. a few smaller railgun shots hit the larger dominion ships, crashing against the shields as the plasma forming the shields dissipated from the impact, leaving small holes for short periods of time, although most shells were avoided or shot down.

"Enemy has fired cruise missiles, I want interceptors and point defense to engage as best as possible!"

The Fleet fires out long range interceptor missiles at the nearest cruise missile, while a small squadron of interceptors launch to assault the missiles, meanwhile spare coilguns loaded with timed explosive flak shells fire out at the cruise missiles.

The German artillery crew of Artilleriekanone 5 were working as fast as they could, levers being swung around as giant mechanical winches and arms brought a new 10m shell into position behind the breech before a large metal rod pushed the shell inside and retracted.

The massive breech door closed and locked, and a shout travelled from the reloading deck to the commander of the gun:
"Nachgeladen!"

The commander raised his hand, waiting for a light on his dashboard to turn green.. then his hand swung down as he shouted.. "FEUER!!"

The artillery piece fired again, rocking it backwards and propelling a new, massive shell towards the british lines.. And with it travelled a volley of another 7 shells.

Meanwhile, a sector away, inside the upper atmosphere of a gas giant, there the wolfpack lay in wait... and on the main bridge of the leading ship, a known face silently observes the raging battle just a few clicks away.. waiting.

They were taken through a corridor full of optics and scanners, drones flew around them observing every detail in their person as they walked through it. When they came out most items where seized and carefully looked at before being returned to them. They made their way down a carpeted corridor with 3D holoimages of various British high ministers and their directorate ministers on each wall. They were taken upstairs by a lift to the first floor and arrived at another corridor. From there they entered an office where a man sat. He stood up and shook hands with them both. ”Greetings. I am ambassador Folcson of the ministry of foreign relations. A pleasure meeting you.”

The commanders fragile eyes made thousands of tiny movements, following projectiles. Those launched by her own ships main batteries were fired with so much force that she could feel each one violently shaking parts of her ship, the HMS Retaliator, as they took off. On the holographic map projecting the battle on her wartable she saw each one of her ships weaving and evading the courses of enemy projectiles. Blips indicated missiles on both sides approaching and being shot down. He could see the streaks coming towards him being vaporized in a mere instant by red lines flickering around her fleet. The network of laser point defence of her fleet provided excellent defence. The destroyers were dishing out waves and waves of fire while they were narrowly manoeuvring around enemy fire, sometimes scoring a hit and grinding against the shields or armour, possible hitting secondary guns or external radiators.
CI broadside fire came in as a large volume of fire, occasionally hitting, however the corvettes and frigates were on their toes and highly evasive. The GBE fighters still did not approach the enemy and only did occasional moves forward to intercept missiles. GBE fire, especially from main guns, start picking up pace as the enemy comes closer. The Eclipse-class main batteries, which were designed for volume of fire, make evading every large shell increasingly hard. Meanwhile the destroyers start lashing out with increasing intensity.
The cruise missiles being massive were hard to shoot down. Especially at that range. The flak found it hard to strike near the targets considering their acceleration and speed. As the pieces of shrapnel impacted any of the missiles or corvettes they struck the particle shielding of the ships and missiles. The GBE squadron of interceptors moved to intercept the small ID squadron of interceptors, firing long-range missiles towards them as they approached while a few Redeemer corvettes broke off to the side to be in position to destroy the incoming interception missiles, already starting to fire pulse lasers at them.
