The document had a long list of insurances of various things they could not due, such as planting a tracker, connecting their brain or nervous system to a device or installing espionage devices.

The German artillery, having reloaded, readied themselves again.. and after a few seconds..:
"FEUER!!!"
...the cannons spoke again, their shells being propelled quickly out of the massive barrels, this time aiming for the most massive of flagships in the british lines..
The commander of the artillery group, standing on the main bridge, looked upon the battlefield and surveyed the british fleet movements, trying to notice if any enemy ships were closing in towards them, as there was only a minimal amount of support ships for the cannons present..

Somewhere, not too far:

An earlier artillery barrage came in at one of the defensive stations, slamming into its structure that started to crumble and be set alight. The defensive stations were considerably easier to destroy compared to the evasive warships. Three other platforms were heavily damaged. The largest orbital ship production facility was attempting to make its way around the planet by accelerating its orbit but it was falling behind the rest. As significant shots hit the edges of the shipyard tearing off a section and detaching the unfinished destroyer in production. Layers upon lasers of metal foam, thermal conductivity and ceramic layers made lasers significantly weaker against the armour of the ships and proved ineffective against the cruisers. However the more lightly armoured and agile Conventry-class destroyers took significant damage. CI lasers struck the destroyer HMS Contaminor. One of its main guns was knocked out. Its port wing was then struck multiple times, burning through the weaponry and engines and slicing off the wing entirely. The destroyer HMS Constant took multiple hits to its hull from underneath. After continuous laser fire the ship's structure fell apart and it was split in two. As another volley of artillery came in, the cruisers weaved out of the way when prioritizing to evade those. As a result they were more likely to be hit by other fire. However as ID fire was partly directed at the stations the fire wasn’t as dense. The approaching fighters had to first pass the picket screen of dedicated point defense corvettes which moved further forward. Even as the CI fighter flew across the battlefield laser fire started hitting them. C-5 Emperor and C-18 Sky Warden fighters as each cruiser and destroyer possesed about 20-40 fighters each, the cruisers launched more fighters so that half of them were in the air. They prepared to meet the enemy missiles as soon as they reached optimal interception range from the corvettes. Burst missiles were fired as a response to the large number of missiles.

The cruise missiles proved hard to shoot down. They were well out of range for most guns. Their large mass, size, armouring and shielding proved hard for mere point defense to do enough damage. Their PD and their escorts dealt with interceptor missiles fairly well. Two cruise missiles were struck in the engines by a large amount of PD shots however, making them fall behind and be easy picking. Another was struck by multiple interception missiles and its warhead disabled. The missiles started to curve and change trajectory towards the fleet's rear. Meanwhile the stealth destroyer was nearing. It turned off its ion engines and started drifting.

The Royal Navy fleet was not approaching. However as the enemy did they were about to reach a certain measurement engraved into the mind of every Royal Navy commander. The guns of the ships stopped for a moment.

”Fire volley.”
Each main gun fired a burst of shells, the autorailguns unleashing their own bursts. The first large nuclear missile volley came mainly towards the CI ships. Missiles swarmed out from the ship’s starboard and port sides and torpedoes came out of their tubes. A few fighters were assigned to escort the missiles and bombers were launched with the missile volley. The guns fired another volley. Now the ships were maximizing the rate of fire that was possible for their guns, with the main batteries' rhythmic drumming shaking space. Supercapacitors fired off a burst of energy as the particle lances prepared to fire the moment the missiles and a shell volley were about to hit the CI ships.

The hangers upon the warships croaked open as smaller craft began to rise from the deck. Accumulating in number as each squadron lifted off the decks of the battleships and cruisers. A fighter screen began to form up followed by the taking off of bombers, taking advantage of GBE interceptors moving away a formation of 40 bombers and 120 escorts made way as a first wave against the GBE fleet. Going off before their departure the main guns rumbling and a mass missile volley to shield the formation from detection as a screen. Since the hole was not exploited a corvette moved and filled the gap in the battleline and in the defensive screen, a volley of long-range laser weaponry firing from the cruisers and capitals.

Seeing the enemy platforms retreat around the planet, the artillery units finished their reloading cycle once more, with sharp commands being barked in German through the encoded comms between the cannon control centres..
Using their directional thrusters, the artillery cannons adjusted their aim, compensating for the movement of their targets.. when the lead commander of the artillery detachment raised his hand, signifying a halt in the progress.

His men turned to him, some signaling the other cannons to halt their fire, as the lead commander held one hand to his ear, listening to his private comms.
"Ja?"
....
"Jawohl, mein Herr." Verstanden, Ziel wird abgeändert."
He straightened himself and looked over to the comms officer assigned to contacting the other units and the main gunner.
"Zieländerung. Feuer konzentrieren auf die größte Station. Alle Kanonen Feuer auf mein Kommando."
The comms officer relayed the information towards the other cannons while the main gunner nodded and adjusted the direction of the cannon to the new target heading.
Shortly waiting for the green signal on the control board, the lead commander held his hand in the air, letting it whizz down soon after:
"FEUER!!!!"
*The comms officer turned to his station, as well screaming: "ALLE KANONEN, FEUER!!!"

Simultaneously on all eight units the firing pedal was kicked down, and the cannon barrels spoke again, letting their highly explosive load fly out towards impending doom, and while the compensating thrusters of the units sprung to life once more to stop the artillery units from flying backwards, the 10 metre caliber shells very, very quickly approached their target, the large station limping behind the others..

The atmosphere within the command vessel was calm, as the encroaching British fire approached ever quicker towards the battleline.
"Prepare to fire rockets... Fire."
The command rang out, as hatches opened up upon the cruiser and larger vessels as a volley of missiles were unleashed. Not intercepting though, they explode early before the impact from the British fire, large shields expanding out from them as the British fire slams into it. Of course, it isn't enough but it blunts the knife that was heading towards them. The British rounds that breach through slam into the shields of the cruisers and other capital ships. Some parts break through as explosions rip into the side of 4 vessels. One frigate gets impacted within its center and snaps in half as it falls from formation, while the upper rear of a corvette is hit and it begins to lose combat speed.

IDS Grand Opening - Bridge
The air was tense on the bridge of the Grand Opening as Captain Vox Looks onto the oncoming fire.

"Status report of the fleet."

"Sir, enemy missiles oncoming, 3 cruise missiles have been made ineffective and thus point defense is focusing on them. One corvette, the IDS Tyria has gone critical and been destroyed, no crew have survived. Point defense and evasion has proved effective although the Cruisers Bloodborn and Refugee's Prayer have multiple hull breeches and thus are holding towards the rear of the formation for combat repairs. Multiple other warships have other minor hull damages including Theta fleet's flagship and our vessel, Grand Opening."

"I see... Order point defense to focus more on protecting against oncoming fire and position us to block fire."

"Yes sir."

Latchkey Fleet - Overall Battle
As said by the right hand of Vox, a corvette had gone critical and 2 cruisers had been heavily damaged, falling behind and being protected by other ships in the fleet. The IDS Grand opening slows down and moves in front of the overall fleet, blocking smaller more vulnerable ships from fire while taking shots itself, the plasma shields firing off bursts of protective plasma to try and intercept enemy fire alongside the flak with its repetitive crack-crack-crack. Theta fleet and the Star-class Carrier within Latchkey fleet launch their own interceptors to try and protect against the incoming missile volley, as well as another squadron launching and heading towards the lagging cruise missiles, bays loaded with high-powered EMP missiles and High-payload interceptor missiles.

Grand Opening - Bridge
"Sir, those cruise missiles are getting dangerously close, and only 3 have been rendered ineffective, what should we do?"

"Have secondary railgun batteries shift fire from the GBE onto the nearest cruise missile momentarily, load aft coilguns with EMP shells to provide support to these railguns."

"Yes sir, it will be done."

Latchkey Fleet - IDS Grand Opening
The aft railgun batteries and coilguns of the IDS Grand opening take aim at the nearest cruise missiles and begin firing, the coilguns swapping to EMP rounds while the railguns stick to normal AP rounds, unloading a volley while the rest of the fleet keeps firing at the GBE shipyard and defensive stations.

HMS Resonance, Gate system

”Entering the gateway to the Tantacian system.”
The colossal battlecruiser went through the large ring gateway together with a fleet of smaller ships like a duckling following their mother. The ring phased them into Tantacia. There the last rendezvous was completed with two destroyers and the rapid response fleet had been fully assembled.
”Launch three of the red snow cruise missiles at vital targets.” requested Fleet Admiral Phoenix.
´ yes sir, launching cruise missiles. ´
Fire control designated ID cruisers as their target as three of their four interstellar cruise missiles (with 10 cruise missiles in total) left their tubes and accelerated ahead of the battlegroup, jumping into warp space as the battlegroup moved the exit the interdiction field.

Vulcan

CI missiles were engaged early by the picket screen defending the fleet. A few interceptor missiles were launched for good measure to mitigate the attack. Missiles impacted the capital ships of the fleet. Frigate HMS Shamer went down in a large explosion. The limping station engaged its shields at the threat of incoming fire. The enormous shells whizzed past the station as it made its escape. Two were on course. The particle shields came up and both shells slammed against it, shattering it like glass but reducing the shells to deadly debris that fell through the station like rain and cut holes through it like a hot knife through butter causing air breaches. Warnings flared throughout the entire station. Blast doors were closing to keep the internal pressure. Crew caught in the depressurized sections panicked to get the emergency life support kits. The IDS Grand Opening scored a successful hit against the cruiser HMS Divine. Two of the main batteries on its top were destroyed. Meanwhile a corvette beside it was hit by a slug meant for the HMS Divine. It struck the ship's fore and tore it off completely.
Seeing their enemies' insistence on repairing their damaged ships the commodore ordered that the main batteries of the cruisers and destroyers would focus fire on the lagging behind cruisers. Flak fragments simply nudged the massive shells as their enormous mass headed at the cruisers at relativistic speeds. Secondary guns expanded the scope of their fire, firing in large bursts and not focusing on single areas to strain the enemies point defense as much as possible. Together with this a large nuclear missile volley was launched. Torpedoes were at the vanguard of the missile launch, following with squadrons of bombers and interceptors. The torpedoes provided ECM and thermal jamming for the missiles behind them and protected them from interceptors with PD of their own. The interceptors were ready to defend the missiles against fighter attack. The fighters and missiles were dispersed over such a large area that they exceeded the width of the active battlefield. This meant the outer missiles and fighters were moving towards the enemies flank in a curving path. Together with this the main batteries launched a large barrage that was calculated to hit at the same time as the missiles. This time the attack was focused on the ID ships. As the missiles neared interception range the fleet fired off their massive spinal particle lances at the ID cruisers and destroyers. The blue beams stretched across the battlefield, this time more damaging than the last.

As the fighters approached the crippled cruise missiles their laser PD systems converged on them. The one with the disabled warhead was still traveling at the same speed as the others and was together with that group. The nearest cruise missile attempted to evade but was struck by multiple rounds and was eliminated. The other 11 now were pointed at the lines of german artillery and they begun accelerating towards their max capacity, their torch drive flame lightning up the battlefield, their speed increasing significantly but nearing the lines with each second making a small window of easier interception. The fighters and attack corvettes fell behind but kept on moving forward, curving towards the rear of the ID logistics ships.

The stealth escorts were in position at medium range at the rear of the ID fleet drifting rather slowly. The interior of the ship was hot and the air was moist with sweat from the crewmembers. On the side of the escorts not facing the enemy, torpedo tubes and missile launchers opened and slid to the side. With a slight push they were set in place behind the enemy. These pyramid-shaped stealth missiles, coated in the vantablack PCTM, lay dead and they listened for a radio signal. The escorts now drifted within close range of the artillery and their escorts, both for their weapons and their detection systems.

A Lone Ship Drifts Past Bearing No Recognizable Configuration or Source But Seems to just conduct scans and deploys the occasional probe every now and then. the Unknown vessel has no visible weapons or military equipment of any kind and seems to be Civilian in nature.

He is put onto an operation bed and injected a few more times with various chemicals, immune bodies, nanomachines and microscopic monitoring devices. Scanners skim through every cell in his body for anything unusual. Any biovirus, biological bombs or espionage devises.

As the successful hits impacted upon the GBE naval forces correction data began being fed to the targeting computers and gunners as the next volley was armed and the guns rumbled again firing another salvo. As a multitude of hatches flap open to begin firing out another bombardment of missiles targetted at the GBE vessels ounce more, aimed to impact engines or exposed sections. As the counterfire from the GBE fleet impacted upon the shimmering shields with the shields of the cruiser 'Hailer' flickering as a shell slammed into the rear of the vessel tearing a hole into it. A plume of smoke left from the tore hole as the ship slightly slowed. A heavy cruiser 'Porcus' shields shimmered as well and flickered as a shell from a GBE ship manages to slice straight through into the main munition store as the vessel detonates and ripples in the CI formation.

"Have the damaged cruiser pull from the line, shift the line to avoid the destroyed heavy cruiser, and have a frigate provide assistance for survival search of the 'Hailer'. Counter Volley, Fire!"

The golden shimmer of the energy weapons shinned as the lances cut through the void targetted at the GBE vessels to slice into them.

*At the Launch of more torpedoes, another wing of interceptors launch, screaming for the lead cruise missile as they unleash a volley of missiles straight towards them, with a followup volley of EMP shells from their nose-mounted railguns. The Cruisers coming under fire try to push their engines to the limit to try and catch up, as a couple picket ships slow down to try and screen them from incoming fire, a handful of railgun shells still making it through and striking critical systems before- BOOM! -One of the cruisers goes critical, an ammo store being hit and knocking out power for the ship as its engines stutter then fail, it being left behind by a majority of the fleet as a duo of small ships quickly pick up escape pods that had shot from the ship. APS systems continue to lash out at missile volleys as they crash against shields, some of them going off so close that shrapnel begins shredding at smaller ships, tearing away small outer plating of the armour. A Trio of Fighter wings, Wyverns accompanied by Syntaxes controlled by sentient shipboard AI across the fleet, make a break for the incoming bombers and interceptors, preparing missile volleys for when they get closer.

The Fleet begins to hard-focus most of their fire on the cruise missiles and incoming fire, in a bid to take out as many as possible and save the artillery. Upon hearing at the attack corvettes and fighters, a pair of escorts accompanied by a fighter wing break off to defend the logistics ship.

T-30 Seconds before the cruise missiles are calculated to hit:
On the bridge of the commanding cruiser of the defense phalanx surrounding the artillery platforms on the scanners the missiles have popped up, and screams and shouts come from the officers operating them, going towards Admiral Volkers:
"Scheiße... Scheiße! MARSCHFLUGKÖRPER IM ANFLUG! T MINUS DREISSIG!"
*Turning around, the Admiral waved his hand towards the captain and his officers."
"Kapitän. Bereitmachen für Flugabwehrfeuer!"
Nodding, the captain barked some orders, with all weaponry of the ships making up the defensive phalanx grinding around towards the cruise missiles, locking on and firing as soon as the targeting computers shone green..
The void lit up in bright light as streams of FlaK made their way towards the cruise missiles, the guns spitting out condensed hate in the form of lead and high explosive...

But it was to be too little too late, while there was a good chance that some of the missiles were to be destroyed, at least a number would come through. Thus, the Admiral took a sharp breath in, and then ordered evasive action to be taken by the artillery pieces as a vain attempt of saving them, less saving all of them but seperating their formation to a point that the missiles would not be able to catch them all in their blast radius.

On the artillery platforms an unsettling calm took place in the midst of chaos as the soldiers clung on for dear life while the massive guns swung around on emergency power, their orientating thrusters lighting up blue-white from the sheer power output, the artillery scattering..

Meanwhile, less than a system off.. :
Travelling through hyperspace came the larger rest of the German combined battlegroup Kriegsflotte 5 and 8, together known as Kampfgruppe "Deutsche Faust" converged towards the battlefield from a 45° offset, having used the time their allies had bought them to maneuver around a bit out of reach of the enemy scanners.
Großadmiral Schindlhauer commanded the part of the Kampfgruppe "Deutsche Faust" which was Kriegsflotte 5, and the Führer Hans Steinfeld himself led the part consisting of Kriegsflotte 8..

But soon, the Kampfgruppe split up into the two battlegroups again, with Kriegsflotte 8 travelling along in a long curve while Kriegsflotte 5 seperated towards the battlefield and fired up their thrusters to top speeds, entering the battle of Vulcan...
While watching Schindlhauer's fleet disappear in hyperspace, Steinfeld pondered the battle, or to be exact, how to best implement the ace up his sleeve... the machine that his people had been working on on the other side of that portal for so long..

Appearing from hyperspace, shields up and weapons at the ready came the Kriegsflotte 5 led by Großadmiral Schindlhauer, ready to bring down the fist of hate unto the british.. their guns opened fire only seconds after having entered real space, with them flaring out in a spearhead formation, lead by the heavy cruisers and battlecruisers in the middle as well as the small battleship "Seekuh", serving as the flagship for this attack..
Bright flashes of light appeared from the formation, signaling the soon-to-be arrival of heavy shells coming from the spearhead...
"Langsame Fahrt voraus, Alle Kanonen- FEUER!!"
