Musavian United Restoration Front
“The foundations of our people are greater than your tallest skyscrapers.”
Ever since the great Rectifying, there have been those who were left behind within Musavian society. And within those, some grew suspicious of the inner workings of the Musavian society, and the growing influence of megacorporations and the galaxy upon their inner affairs, even more with the major identity wipe of the mysterious event.
It wasn’t until now that these forces had gathered enough prominence to start acting independently and organized, turning from a mere group of speculations to motives and beliefs lizardman and lizardwoman are willing to die for.
Beliefs
Economics
The MURF stands before the restoration of the pre-modern democracies of Musavi, a reduction of the influence of the state upon the economy and a redistribution of wealth of the elites in the form of large taxations upon megacorporations of Musavian origin or not.
Civics
Though carrying an underlying sentiment that makes them regard Musavians over other species, the MURF is largely egalitarian in species relations, believing that the sentience that brings forth species into civilian status makes them equal in rights and duties.
Integrants
A vast majority of the integrants of the MURF are normal citizens engrained within society, most within the MISE’s own territory, however, some even within other nations due to immigration and the ease of operation that distance to the government brings.
Musavians: The majority of the MURF integrants are Musavian in origin, aged around 30 years. Their existence is also more well known to the MISE than any other faction, attracting individuals revolutionary in beliefs. Though conscription isn’t easy in the more radical activist cells of the MURF, one finds that a good portion of Musavians partially believe in the necessity of change within the government, a point that drives them into the Restoration Front.
Others: Other species may have heard of the MURF through their activity within the black market and in piracy and smuggling, some pirates and revolutionaries from failed movements from other species have decided to join within the MURF for a better chance to make changes, with the added benefit that, if the MURF’s revolution is to come, maybe theirs will receive help from them.
Organization and Leadership
The MURF is organized in intercommunicating yet isolated cells of activists inserted into society, that range from peaceful restoration movements to secretive, almost terrorist cells employed in the acts of piracy, smuggling, and other black market activities.
With such, they are engaged within Musavian society at a variety of levels, conducting a relatively large operation in the scope of a revolutionary movement, yet incredibly small compared to the size of the MISE and GL&M.
All of the Cells answer, using communications through the means of proxies, to regional commands that coordinate their efforts, and accordingly, the regional command answers to one leadership cell secretly hidden at an undisclosed location.
Elohim: The psychic wonderchild of the SORB is one of the leaders of the MURF, carrying in his blood both the vindictive will against his estranged and unnatural creator, and the will to remove the foundations of what to him is a vile institution which has corroded the morals of the Musavian people.
Though mostly calculating, his behavior can vary wildly on topic. Ever since his first escape from the Musavian government, he has cultivated his latent Psychic powers to enhance his self-defense and organize the MURF into submission, leading them with an iron grip and reasonable leadership skills.
Economy
Most of the economical backing of the MURF is gathered through illegal means, as their illegal nature prevents them from being officially represented as a political party, and thus, are unable to officially acquire donations.
However, funding can be acquired through money laundering, smuggling of illegal products through the black market (such as drugs, weaponry, ships, and even rare substances), acts of piracy such as convoy raiding, kidnapping, and assassination contracts.
Despite the questionable actions in the black market, they still hold some morals within their operations:
- Spare Civilians whenever possible;
- No Smuggling or other activities related to slavery;
- No assassinating diplomatic figures;
History
Ever since the Rectifying, cells of revolutionaries grew up in number to question what truly happened in the sudden evacuation of the planet, and the subsequent major informational wipeout. However, even the government seemed to have been struck equally hashly within the event, and the advancements in civics and welfare made a large parcel of the population to simply accept the event as a cosmical event that struck them down, yet they rose up stronger and better.
The movement secretly gained strength over time, growing within the few alienated communities that spawned from the MISE, whilst their ideologies developed on the backdrop of a faction that was more and more integrated with the megacorporations and the galaxy at large.
However, they wouldn’t truly be united until Elohim presented himself a valuable asset. Initially siding with a pirate operative cell and quickly gaining their trust in leadership, he united the different facets of the MURF into his own consolidated command, whether that was through simple arguing and diplomacy, or a display of brute strength. With time, his story of being borne out of government experimentation was spread far and wide with the status of legend, though the government still denies such a story, instead presenting him as a criminal who invaded a government building whilst in the events of an evacuation, and later avoided arrest.
Power
Through its history, the MURF was able to amass a capable arsenal of personal equipment. Some smuggled from lesser known nations, such as basic laser or common kinetics rifles, grenades, bullet-proof vests and suits, and simple exoskeletons.
In fleets, most of their ships are refitted and modified civilian ships, mounted with a variety of weaponry such as railguns, kinetic cannons, plasma cannons, and missile launchers.
Due to the second-hand and modified nature of their equipment, they prioritize guerilla tactics and ambushes whenever possible, skillfully avoiding government forces and transiting through less known black market routes.
Due to the trackers and militarized nature of military equipment transports from the MISE and the GL&M, they possess almost no proper military equipment. Elohim himself holds half of their arsenal of military equipment with the three items that they stole from the SORB, with the other being two hyperatomic detonation charges smuggled from the remains of Damadafu.
