Particle Beam Weapon

A Particle Beam is a highly focused powerful beam of atomic nuclei particles. It bypasses shields and armor and damages interior systems. The max damage made would be 25% at optimum distance and decline with increasing distance and would be slow firing. What do you think?

Glaisne The bypassing of armor and shields is too OP in my oppinion, and with 25% damage, 4 of them could snipe your large reactor and then you're done for. The only other option is to remove the shield and armor bypassing, but then you will have a railgun...

Removing the armour and shield bypass would just be the ion beam lol

Roasted Yeah maybe 25% is too much, maybe 5% or so, plus the amount of damage caused decreases with distance from the target.
