I love the idea of having something fall into a trap, only for them to be melted or burned or whatever. Some ideas with ion beams and lasers

Then we have this beauty. The harbinger. This thing melts ships in a matter of seconds with its modded lasers.

This is probably the smallest ship in vanilla you can make that has ok control
