So... I pitted 5 battleships vs 437 pirate fighters... roughly equal in total cost. This is how it looks like:

Always happens,I underestimate the fighters and they kill all the big ships. Especially swarms of these two: Once the blue one (Transient Lightning Bolt) take down the shields, the red one (Transient Lightning Strike) just shreds everything.
