The R.R.N.F's current fleet classes will be listed below.
Super Battleships
Falcon-Class S. Battleship
The largest vessels put into Redford service, these behemoths are armed with 4 30-Inch D.R.U.M. Guns and 4 45-Inch Guns. Its specialized front allows it to carry 3 Ion Emitters, which are potent enough to cut a dreadnought in half with enough time to power up. These vessels were originally designed as the ultimate defense against the now-destroyed Kingsman Fleet, able to go up against the group in a 1 v. 3 combat situation. However, the expensive cost of these vessels made it required from then on that they were put in fleets with large numbers of Battleships and Cruisers (variants included) acting as fighter and bomber defenses. 1 prototype was shown to have completely drain it's flak armament's shells before the simulated enemy (represented as 5 squadrons of Pelican-Class Mk 1 Bombers) were all destroyed. Due to this, the Falcon-Class was updated with fighter launch systems (which doubled as scout craft) and landing bays to house Heavy Fighters to help with the issue of a heavy fighter/bomber force.
Crowned Sparrow
Little more than a propaganda ship, the last 5 in existence have been put into storage. These long-aging vessels were once some of the most powerful vessels in Redford's Navy, being the only ships at the time to carry the 30-inch Drum Guns. The remnants of the Crowned Sparrows engaged in battles of the Yukong Rebellion. 30 were all that was left. The Sparrow series (which includes the Crowned Sparrow) had a major weakness, in which the highly-explosive flak guns were placed slightly too close together due to a smaller than requested hull. While this meant that it could fire a more concentrated burst of flak, a well-placed hit could ignite the Flak ammo storages, causing a chain reaction that could cripple the Command Bridge. The last 25 were hit in such places during unlucky skirmishes with Railgun-toting pirates. However, the reason for it being on the list is that it was an influential vessel in Redford design philosophy.
Battleships
Raven 2-B9
The last Raven series warship is little more than an updated Raven 2-B4. While this is not a bad thing, it makes it only good in a mixed fleet now instead of a dedicated Battleship Fleet. Armed with 30-In. Drum Guns, multiple anti-munition systems, and anti-craft guns. Its side armor is relatively good in some places, and extraordinary in others. This meant that it was a perfect platform for taking on Carriers or Missile-based vessels with relative ease, as it could outgun and outrange the enemy without having to worry about a fighter squadron or bombers as much as a Raven 2-B4 would have to. This Battleship also came out on top against Other Battleships in 1 or in higher number situations v. 1 or in higher number situations, where the Raven 2-B9(s) could usually dish out whatever damage they took with relative ease, and simply just let shells ding off the thicker-plated sections.
Raven 2-B5 Heavy Battleship
A dedicated Dreadnought Killer, This vessel was influenced by a completely changed Redford attitude toward Naval Combat. Before this vessel was even considered, Redford Officials were confident that a good enough fleet of battleships would be more than enough to destroy a dreadnought similar in size to Redford's Super battleships. However, A old-recording of the Delta Invasion of Jking came through with the fact that other groups in the galaxy had much, MUCH larger ships then Redfords. So, the Raven 2-B5 was born from this revelation. Armed with thicker armor and more defensive capabilities against enemy supporting-air/spacecraft, this vessel was armed with special 1-Barreled Ball-turret mortars. Though in space they were used as a way to constantly keep firing on the enemy whether they went above/under the ship, in gravity, they acted much differently. Due to the fact the Guns could fire directly up or down, they were used to help shoot over environmental obstacles to hit enemies(Like a bunker behind a mountain) or shoot underwater fortresses.
Battlecruiser
Valkyrie-Class Battlecruiser
Built to help strengthen the Ark-2 H. Cruisers' weaknesses, they didn't require much of an armament. So while this meant it could definitely take out lighter vessels and damage bigger ones, it depended on the Ark-2 doing the bulk of the work.
Cruisers
Converted B. Missile Cruiser
One of most versatile ships in the Redford Naval Fleet, it's large variety of missiles allow it to accomplish multiple tasks. From anti-fighter and bomber defenses to Guarding Trade routes, it's relatively liked aswell. Originally drawn up as a concept for similar-sized vessels that are equipped with vastly different armaments, it's the only Converted ship Redford has made to date. Considered a Cruiser for its armament, it's size is unmatched by any other cruiser from Redford. This is due to the fact that Raven A-1 Blueprints were used for the hull, allowing the cruiser to take the name of "Pocket Battleship". This ship is equipped with a 30-inch triple-barrel gun and a double-barrel 45-inch. However, it's the secondary armament of 4 quad-barrel 10-inch guns which allow the vessel to lighten its load for more missiles. It's maintained a near-perfect track record for defense, keeping trade routes and other allies safe from harm. It's one of the now-purchasable vessels for other Factions to buy. Costing 3 Million Credits.
Ark-2 Heavy Cruiser
The most radical design Redford has made in recent years (the last time being the Crow-Class Battleship), it's the first ever Heavy Cruiser. Coming armed with 2 45-Inch guns, 8 missile launchers, 3 Quad-Barrel 10-in. Guns, 4 Dual-Purpose Dual-Barreled 10-Inch guns, and Dual 88mm FLAK Timer anti-craft Guns, this ship is one of the most powerful symbols in the Navy. Testing indicated that 2 Heavy Cruisers could defeat a Raven 2-B4, with relatively minimal damage to the cruisers. This was also due to the much heavier shielding systems implemented on the cruiser. This does not save the vessel from it's main flaw. The broadside armor is so thin that a Common Heavy cannon could punch through before the cruiser could react, This was due to the fact the hull is so much thinner, as the designers imagined it as a fast, heavy-hitting vessel, not a slower, tankier vessel. Due to this flaw, the Valkryie Class was built to support the shortcomings of the Ark-2.
Tiger-Class Cruiser
An old vessel coming from the Pre-Ban Era, it's a armored, but slow vessel. Armed with 15-In. D.R.U.M. Single-Barrel guns and the first (and last) cruiser to have a slightly modular design. The PM variant (Project: Management, which was an attempt to prepare ships for another Delta Invasion, though it was abandoned) is equipped with minelayers instead of torpedoes and larger-caliber broadside maglev guns. Not many of these PM variants were put into service, and they've mainly been sold for scrap.
Destroyer
Jking Crown Destroyer Mk 1
This destroyer class, though outdated, is a powerful light-vessel destroyer. Armed with 4 Quad-Barrel 10-In. Guns and 12 (6 per broadside) Mounted Torpedo/Maglev Guns. However, it's armor plating is less then what could be hoped for, and thus the ship can easily be destroyed with a powerful enough broadside. Its replacement is coming slowly but surely.
Jking Crown Destroyer Mk 2
Improving the Mk 1 by a landslide, the Mk 2, though in limited production at the moment, is far more potent in Its versatility. The Ship, armed with 1 less Quad 10-inch gun, has been updated with new sensory equipment and modular broadside armaments. The ship line also finally got durasteel plating, and on the Mk 2, it can get as thick as a battleship at some points. The only real major flaw is the shielding, which is 2 less then it's predecessor. Although they have been replaced by Much stronger variants (The Mk 11s compared to the Mk 8s), it's still a lightly problematic issue. The Destroyer's broadside armament can be equipped with Dual 88mm anti-fighter guns, 10-Inch Dual-Purpose Dual-Barrel Guns, Torpedo Launchers, and Minelayers. It's said to be one of the most potent vessels Redford will release. However, these new changes are costing the Destroyer Production valuable time, and the full refit of the fleet might occur later than previously thought.
Corvette
Bofors-Class Modular Corvette
The Bofors-Class Modular Corvette is the most recent vessel Redford has produced. Coming about after the KSI Invasions, the heavily armed "glass cannon" can be equipped with either broadside 88mm anti-fighter guns, be equipped with torpedoes, minelayers, or 10-inch Destroyer Guns. However, the redundant shielding, while very potent for a ship of this size, can easily be taken out by a swift bombing run, due to its light armor.
Frigate
Chieftain Mk3 Light Frigate
The frigate class, though new to Redford, is a decent, cheap, trade protection vessel. It's a simpler armament of 3 Dual-88mm Anti-craft guns and 2 missile launchers. Moreover, the ship is simply covered in lighter armor mixed with durasteel scattered in places. While the shielded vessel can take its own weight on, it's safe to say they are little more than a heavy scout vessel or trade protection vessel.
Patrol Boat
Chief Mk1 Patrol/Torpedo Boat
A simple, light vessel, armed with a singular Dual-Barrel 88mm gun and 2 "Torpedo" Maglev Guns. Lightly armored, and
lightly shielded, this vessel is nothing short of a scouting vessel.
Transports
X7-5 Light Transport
Produced as a cheap, affordable transport for commercial use, The rebranded company Horton & Sons was requested by the military to produce an armed and shielded variant that was still cheap to manufacture for the military. The company happily agreed to the contract, as it meant it'd be one of many ways to make the company millions of credits without any major problems that it could face if it was done to commercial use. The version used in the Armed forces today acts as a small transport capable of warding off light fighters to bide enough time for the X7-5 to escape. Although originally produced in the early stages of the Republic, this transport is still purchasable for 500,000 credits for a quick and simple way to move light goods or people.
X7-6 (Medical) Light Transport
With the success of the X7-5, specialized variants were ordered, as a way to fill in the gaps of other companies' transport lanes. However, frontline vessels of the early years of Redford were commented on being "Being stuck in an armored box with guns", and that once they were shot down or critically damaged, it'd be a matter of time before the crew died. The Horton & Sons Company decided to manufacture a variant of the X7-5 to be a first aid vessel, capable of fast entrances and exits with the possibility of reaching medical stations before the patient could die without the equipment those stations provide. This version came equipped not with 4 laser cannons, but rather two turreted laser cannons. The main purpose of these cannons was to prevent fighters or boarding enemies to make it too close to the transport before it could escape. Though this remodeled X7-5 did nickname the company "The Pennypincher & Sons", id did increase the survivability rate of Redford ships. Though they no longer need to come to a downed Redford ship's aid, as Escape Pods and Recovery ships made it into the military once they were introduced, they still provide a decent way to get to a medical station. They cost slightly less the X7-5 to purchase, coming in at around 450,000 per vessel, it doesn't mean you are getting a lower quality ship.
X7-7 Heavy Boarding Craft/Transport
After a long series of worker reforms and higher wages, the Horton & Sons company needed funding to maintain and keep itself afloat. Luckily, Redford needed a Boarding Craft to engage infiltration missions or larger enemy vessels that a battleship couldn't get to in time. After a prototype was approved by Redford officials, it finally went into service 3 years after it was requested to be built. Armed with an automated rear turret laser cannon, 2 frontally mounted laser cannons, 4 (Turreted) Ion emitters, and 2 Discord/photon torpedo launchers, it was and still is one of the most potent ground/space-support craft. If it's used as a boarding craft, a specialized hidden hatch lets 25 Armored Spacesuit wearing troops to exit and enter the enemy ship. It prominently was shown taking place at The Battle of the Fulgar, in which a small pirate group was able to capture a Redford Battleship (sources vary between an Askor-2 or a Raven 2), in which the transport successfully boarded and sent in 25 specialist troops to take it back.
Bombers
Crow-Class Heavy Bomber
A successor to the massive bombers of the early age of Redford, these bombers were built for one purpose only. Carry the biggest armament of bombs. These atmospheric/ spacecraft can fly for weeks on end before refueling, as the huge wings allow it to carry tons of fuel. However, the massive payload and heavy shielding/armor come at a cost. The anti-munition systems are long-outdated manned turrets, supposed to ward off enemy fighters. Instead of fulfilling these roles, the laser cannons are now so weak compared to other cannons that multiple engineers have simply requested the design use automated systems.
Pelican Class-Medium Bomber Mk 2
Improving on the original design, the Mk 2 Pelican Bomber is a great carrier bomber. The now foldable wings (which fold over the engines) allow the craft to be maintained and kept in smaller spaces. Its armament is nothing short of tried and true. Armed with 3 Rocket-Propelled Bomb racks and 3 rocket racks, the Bomber can pull off some great runs, able to punch through light shields and doomium like tissue paper. Moreover, the addition of a single-barreled turret on the bottom allows the bomber to shoot down missiles quite easily. However, the speed and armor of the bomber aren't enough to block fighter guns, and thus, they operate in squadrons with Seagull Escorts. If Seagulls aren't available, then Buccaneer Mk 7s are used. The reason Buccaneers are used instead of Delta fighters is that these bombers and the Crow Bombers can enter atmospheric conditions.
Seagull-Class Light Bomber
Made with the intent of a heavy fighter/bomber, the Seagull class is a monstrous opponent in dogfights. Armed to the teeth with 12 laser cannons and 5 rocket racks, the fighter can deal damage to light craft which other fighters could only dream of. However, engineers have pointed out that the whole middle of the craft could be blown up by a single 10-inch round, making it possible to be destroyed easily during bomber runs on ships. Due to this fact, the Seagull class has been relegated to a bomber defense craft, which can support bombing runs. While this does fit the role it's armament was made for, pilots complain that its engines are much less useful, and this bomber needs better engines to keep up with the escorted bombers.
Fighters
Delta-Class Fighter
The most reliable fighter class ever produced, the Nohoun Construction Shipyard created a space-superiority and defense fighter that was so reliable that it's competitor, The Buccaneer, had to create a brand new fighter just to keep up. Armed with a potent Heavy Laser Emitter, 4 laser cannons, and 2 proton Torpedo Launchers, it was also one of the most defended. Armed with a vast (though slightly under-powered) amount of shield generators, it allowed the Fighter to sometimes tank proton torpedoes. While most bombers and newer fighters have this shielding, it's still powerful on this frame.
Buccaneer Mk-7 Fighter
This fighter, though old, is still quite reliable. Acting as the only fighter able to enter atmospheric and space combat, it's constant use has made it into some kind of icon in the Air-Force. Armed with 6 Laser Cannons, 2 Proton Torpedo Launchers, and decent shielding, it can be purchasable for a fair price of 250,000. While steep for a fighter, it does have commodities only available to Redford. Recharging and Resistant Shields allow the fighter to pull back if the enemy begins to take down the shields, in which the fighter squadron could come back after the shields recharge and simply pull a proper once more. The Laser cannons have built-in cooling systems, which allow for continuous use.
Xlyos-Class Light Fighter
This light fighter was a simple creation designed to takeover carrier duties from the Buccaneer and Deltas. While it's Quantity v. Quality did help it some, as Redford was in a time of material and economic crisis, it couldn't completely takeover like how it's manufacturers wanted it to. It mainly resides in the Bhjak System, where it can be bought for a mere 60,000 per fighter. It's simply armed with two light laser cannons and a singular Proton/Droid Launcher. It's lightly shielded, though it's actually highly modifiable. A more military version was considered, which would have armored it, made it more powerful, etc. It never went into production, however.
O-S Pluto-Class Fighter
Designed Originally to be an Interceptor, This fighter has one of the fastest top-speeds ever recorded in Redford History. Combine that with its heavy shielding and you had quite the Interceptor. However, the armament was something left to be desired, as only 4 laser cannons and two launchers could be incorporated. This did not stop the fighter from producing some of the fastest maneuvers followed by an attack which couldn't be dodged if flown by a trained, experienced pilot.
RI-Falcon-Class Heavy Fighter
One of the few 7th Generation fighters to be produced, The RI- Falcon is still one of the most powerful and versatile fighters in Redford's Arsenal. Armed with 2 Dual-Barrel 40mm Miniguns, it's one of the few fighters to have ever come equipped with the guns. It also sported powerful laser cannons and even rear anti-munition systems. However, most fighters were also equipped with missile and bomb racks, making it quite easy to make into a Heavy Close-Air support vehicle. This fighter was also able to fit in crammed Landing Bays on Freighters and Warships, which could allow the ship to act as extra fighter support in areas that space fighters could not fly through before they reached battle (Like a giant cosmic storm which warships could endure but normal fighters couldn't, which meant Heavy Fighters, which would hitch a ride on the warships, could launch after the fleet passed through the storm.).
Interceptor
Deflector-Class Stealth Interceptor
The only stealth fighter still used in Redford today, it's come about as one of the healthiest ways to attack an enemy without so much as a dent on the fighter. Its armament is still one of the heaviest coming in at around 8 Laser cannons and 3 Proton/Torpedo Launchers. However, it's rear shielding is nigh-unmatched, capable of tanking a few destroyer shells before going down. However, it's stealth tech is the most impressive, capable of not being detected on nearly any kind of scanner. Unless a spy had taken the tech to track it or you saw it cloak, there would be no way of telling where they were.
