Finding how resistant it is to heat like the standard Titanium A battleplating used by UNSC star ships that is molecular strengthened. The officials who reviewed and studying this unknown rock soon realized it’s potential.

HMS-Hood In the stations main control station, the on duty crew notice the warship appear on the sensors area of the station. 4000km out, one of the ensigns repeats to the officer on duty. The officer asks the ensign on the comms to contact FLEETCOM, who promptly dispatch the Paris-Class Frigate Cherry Hill to intercept the unknown craft, breaking off from its routine patrol and heading to intercept the contact.

The Cherry Hill, coming in at a little over 500m, reaches its target 2500km out and sends a hail on an open communications channel. Telling the craft it has entered restricted space. The frigates Archer Missile Silos are loaded and arm, and the ships main weapon. They prepare a warning shot.

The crew on the bridge of the frigate notice the open channel the mysterious ship is broadcasting.

HMS-Hood The frigate stays on course, you have entered a restricted area, be advised turn back now or be destroyed. The frigate does not back down because the "proto entered military space.

The Proto should know now to turn around and find one of the UEG's trading outposts because this is not a place for them to be.

HMS-Hood The frigate unaware of what they are talking about proceeds on course. Unknown contact, turn away or we will open fire. One of the frigates missile pods launches a single Archer missile close to the target as a warning.

Inside the bridge the captain tells the navigation officer to put the ships engines at 120% as the frigate gets into a defensive stance.

ONI point defense fires round after round into the missle but to no use the proto turns to an battle stance but to a ranged bombardment stance they are not trying to fight head on やれやれだぜ you hear over the comms as 4 to 5 fighter wings pop out of FTL all on stand by

HMS-Hood On the bridge the captain takes note of the now hostile ship does not back down. "Sir 5 new contacts just entered behind it. "Hikowa, arm the MAC and release all missile safeties. The young blonde weapons officer smiles, typing away at her console. "Missiles armed sir". Orsen the captain calls out, Push the engines to 140%. The captain orders interior hull systems sealed in case the battle doesn't go as planned. He orders the nav officer to send out one last hail telling the new crafts to back off or be engaged.

ONI A message is heard on pluto, and is sent down to where the stand off is happening. this is the message: "this is the station valhalla you do not know the urgency of this deal," the speaker gets interrupted by the screams of twisted metal as a cannon round punches through the steel plates on the station. the speaker continues as if nothing happened "we cannot lose the proto that is why those fighter wings where sent. if you want them gone ok i can do that. but you mustn't damage the proto. we already have a war going on and we don't need any more blo- kaboom". the message stops there

All hands to battle stations, the captain alerts the crew.

Drakador_Chaos Lifeboats and the broken hulls of the patrol fleet remain. Hours later, rescue craft and more ships come to the battleground. A large refit station was sent as well, to assist the ships who were not heavily damaged. Of the ships lying broken, whatever munitions that were able to be saved were transferred away. Missiles, nukes, and MAC rounds along with point defense ammo blocks. Any alive personnel were transferred too.
The next step was the bodies. All UNSC personnel, are equipped with an IFF tag based in the back of their skull which can also identify their conditions and injuries so finding them was easy.

From battle records, it was picked up on after analyzing the battle the corvette Into the Hollowing Dark was the first ship destroyed in the attack, only its battleplating remained with the ships name upon it. This, was collected to be used in a memorial for the lives lost.

Several hours after the battle at the rift, recovery and repair actions were still in progress, luckily for the UEG, the rift seemed to remain idle in the meanwhile, however, for how long remained a mystery for now, as the rift hadn´t closed and didn´t show any reaction to the heavy explosives fired into it dirng the battle either.
Possibly, time would tell what to do, however on the other hand, time may be something they could not afford, if there was actually another attack to come after all...

ONI in an unexpected move, even by some of the fighters the proto rushes forwards not only taking the hit of the missile (assuming they are not nukes ) and keeps on pushing right on forwards at intense speeds towards the frigate launching all E.M.P. missiles taking down the shields and then ramming the side of the frigate then explodes the reactor leaving a gaping hole in the side of the ship. the fighter wings jump to FTL.

And what is this fog in the core? Also,I'd like to know of this "Embassy" you talked about. What does it do? Where is it located? Tell us more about yourselves,why did the beasts attack you,what even is this rift.
The being's questions were numerous,but it understood that they were just defeated by an unkown force,and gave them time to recover for a bit.
