GCW isn't coming back, it's far too mutilated and disorderly to revive. I'm basically reworking a whole ton of things and doing things I never thought I would do... which is why it's basically an entirely separate mod. Don't assume that any ships made with GCW will work with GA, though the chances they do work with each other is not slim.
