"Who or what are you?"

The figure leans forward..
"Erra."

"I created the Mirum and the Verum, as they call them."
"Yet I am bound to them now.. Unable to move freely as I please."
"How.. is what I'm still trying to figure out."

"Why should I trust you, and how can you reach here?"

"The Excessive use of Mirum-Based technology allows me to project myself within it."
Erra stands leaning back until his clawed feet come off the ground, floating almost on his back.
"I'm Tired.. I've been to every planet. Every city. Every Structure.. in this miserable territory."
"It's the same thing over and over."

"Now.. Why Shouldn't you trust me?"

The figure looks at the chains binding him.
"I see it answers itself."
"Perhaps I can convince you..I could give a gift, perhaps?"

He looks intrigued but suspicious
"What kind of gift?"

"That is the question to answer."
Erra reaches into himself, there is visible distortion where his clawed hand meets his body, the inside looks much like the sight from the Void-Rail did.. The chains glow bright blue as Erra pulls something out, he reaches out, awaiting Umbrio's open palm.

Umbrio leaves his watch behind and extends his arm, his palm open

Erra opens his hand, and from it falls a small metallic white medallion, shaped similar to a set of wings with rounded tips, The two wings are not attached, but remain together, between the two is a swirling ball of energy, with the same colors as the Mirum itself.

"An Old Ekeren trinket."
"Those were the ones I actually liked, until, that is, they started praising me."
"It's more complex than It seems."

Upon inspection, each wing of the medallion is made up of many small pieces.. If Umbrio were to try and touch the swirling orb in the center, the medallion springs to life, the wings move in a soft motion, pieces moving perfectly together and apart.

Umbrio observes it and plays with it for a bit in silence, experimenting. He Looks at Erra and asks:
"What is it that you seek?"

"Break these chains of mine, so I may be Unbound from here.. Although Those will not be the only which need releasing.."

"With these Broken.. I can project myself anywhere, yet I cannot truly Be there."
"Those chains will remain for some time.."

"How could they be broken?"
He asks, pointing at the chains.
"And what do you intend to do, once free?"

"Simply touch them, And you shall see."
"I intend to explore more of this place.. not.. this place.. the Galaxy. And to call for my higher bindings to be broken."

The eyes over Erra's body jiggle, dilating with anticipation.

"Why did you come to me?"

"Others run.. You saw that Sicut, on the street, did you not?"
"In that short time we had a conversation.. of course he ran."
"I would have even stooped as low as the 'Great Ten' as they're called. But they don't want anything to do with me, They fear what they can't understand, even if that Thing is the very creator of what they use most."

"And what is it that they fear? What can't they comprehend?"

"What they cannot comprehend, yes, and what they cannot Understand."
"And it doesn't help with all the false mythology of myself."
"They believe I created the 'Venata.' That is false. I created no creatures but those that live in the Mirum."
"Others think I created the Ekere! False yet again. Nor did I create the Old Ekere. I didn't destroy them either. Their tampering with what was beyond their understanding was their own undoing."

"How were you created and what did you do?"
Umbrio asks, his hands approaching the chains, yet too far away

"How was I created?"
Erra looks up.
"I'm not entirely sure of that one."
"What I did, I created the Mirum, and the Verum.. and as a result of the two I had to create a balance between them, the Indifferent."

"I have tried to avoid intervening with those who use my creations. Sometimes that's simply not possible."
"I created my own Warships to defend the Mirum's greatest secrets."
"Matter. Energy. Crew. Not an issue. Nor was 'Cost.'"
"Only a small number of those ships are left.. Most were worn down with time."
"The Old-Ekere surrendered at the sight of my fleets, but their violent creations did not. In that war the Venata were born, as they saw themselves as stronger than the Old Ekere."
"My ships won the war, as few in numbers as they were.. The Venata as they're called today began to plot, while the Old Ekere stopped their work into my home as was agreed upon."

"I knew.. about the Venata.. I did nothing.. and Will Do nothing, until they intrude upon my territory.. No fun in a being such as myself making the important decisions for the galaxy."

"It's a trinket, A Souvenir. But that's not all it does."

"When the center starts releasing bursts of energy, when it starts to shake... You should warn others to evacuate. Keep yourself away from any Mirum or Verum based technology."
"A Void-Shift is coming. Stress on the Verum results in instability. This time it will effect the Verum. Next time.. The Mirum.. next time.. it's of absolute necessity that you distance yourself from Any Mirum-based technologies.. even Void Batteries."

"You may ask Why I won't fix this.. I will answer."
"A Void shift is natural, it happens every few thousand years.. At least it used to."
"Because of the extreme use of the Mirum and Verum, They're unstable.. this doesn't stop them from working, it just causes more Shifts.."

"At this rate of growth.. It could happen again in the next 100.. perhaps even Ten years from now."
"It won't get much shorter than that, though, as the Mirum will begin to stabilize again after repetitive Shifts."

"The Ekere will have to completely remap the Verum. As it will change."
"And Eventually they'll have to remap the Mirum too, they'll be stuck with standard FTL for a time."

As you must be able to see if you look from my perspective, an unknown being shrouded by mystery approaches me and wants me to rid it of its constraints. I do not know if what you told me is a lie or not. perhaps I will free you, partially. But dont forget it."
He approaches the chains.
"I suppose I am not to tell anyone of this meeting?"
