The Empire

Also known as the Empire of Caelyra, or the Rising Star. It is a nation that emerged from Chaos and Death. With the fall of the Old Empire during the great sad night, several imperial groups formed immediately and took advantage of the chaos that had been generated to eliminate their enemies and seek power, and among the strongest was the IRAC (Imperial Reunification Army of Caelyra), which had as headquarters Caelyra, cradle of the old empire and that would later become its capital, with the gradual transformation of IRAC to a nation, and thus, Caelyra would return to being the capital as it once was in the past.
It was an utter carnage, the Shattered Empire lay on its bed, mortally wounded, while its insides fought for control. The industrial and economic sectors were greatly affected by the conflict, but they were not as affected as the civil sector and the cities, as they were left in ruins. The IRAC remained strong and managed to beat its rivals, but at what cost? Now IRAC had control over nothing but pure ash and blood.
But even in death there is life. The Caelyrans saw that event as an opportunity, an opportunity to improve, to become stronger than ever, leading to their firm belief in the survival of the fittest and of Eugenics. That day was when the weak old Empire really died and was forgotten by history, and Caelyra rose imposingly and ready to tame the stars.
And after intensive reforms, doctrines, a complete change in Imperial culture, and learning from the mistakes of the past, Caelyra positions herself as a possible galactic power, which grows over time becoming stronger than ever, preparing for what is yet to come. A new star is born today ...
Introduction
Caelyra is a small Empire that has 31 system currently. The Empire arose from the ashes of an ancient great empire that dominated its galactic sector hundreds of years ago, which collapsed on its own weight and incompetence, but like any authoritarian regime, it did not die peacefully. A cruel conflict broke out in the imperial worlds, who were beginning to form factions or join others, wanting to take power, either to form their own nation or to seek reunification. The conflict brought death and destruction alike. The infrastructure of the empire was destroyed by 60%, 12 worlds were lost and of the total population, 40% of them died, either due to the mere conflict, or the calamities that came later.
In the end, the IRAC won, the IRAC was definitely not the best, nor the most powerful, but it was the fittest and smartest, so it defeated and conquered its enemies. And as time went by, the IRAC began a massive reconstruction of the empire, initiating projects and reforms that helped revive the economy and commerce, cities were rebuilt and the army was modernized. All this was throughout a great period known as "the rebirth".
Unlike the old empire, Caelyra left the conservative and incompetent attitude that it had before, opening itself to other ideas, some would even be considered radical in ancient times, but this was the present, the past was nothing more than the history of which Caelyra learned and so it changed to survive. During "the rebirth" the idea of Eugenics gained strength , for them, a nation of biological perfect beings was the future. So the IRAC "Sovereigns" started a great artificial selection campaign that they carried out over the years in secret, sterilizing the sick, getting rid of the inferior peoples, either in senseless conflicts or simply disappearing them, the ways did not matter, only the objective. Everything was carried out in secret until a great national patriotic identity was formed, transforming the people's thinking through propaganda and lies, until the people accepted it, and then they began to cooperate.
Few were those who rose up against it, but were forgotten, and branded as criminals or traitors. When the artificial selection began to bear fruit, as well as the reconstruction program, Caelyra began to seek new goals, always thirsty for power and to excel, to become the best, which brings us to the present...
Territory and Astrography
The empire of Caelyra spans 31 systems belonging to a star cluster located in the G-S16 galaxy, which have various planets of all types and colors, which belong to different classifications and serve different purposes. But for some reason, the Caelyrans have always had a certain preference for "desert" type planets with their beautiful seas of dunes and beautiful oases where their great cities thrive, though perhaps this is due to the Caelyra itself. But although there are favorites, when it comes to inhabiting a planet, Caelyrans adapt very well to any environment.
Returning to the subject of planets, these fall into the following classifications:
- Agricultural Worlds [Total 11]
- Industrial Worlds [Total 13]
- Commercial Worlds [Total 9]
- Urban centers or Colonies [Total 15]
- Backwater worlds [Total 23]
- Strongholds [Total 4]
- Shipyards [Total 5]

Caelyra, Imperial Oasis
Cradle of the Empire and all Caelyrans. Origin of Imperial culture and home of the IRAC. Caelyra is a "Desert" type planet, which is due to its binary stars, which, despite Caelyra being in the habitable zone, every 6 months, the smallest star gets close enough to Caelyra to cause a significant increase in surface temperatures. In the long term, this eliminated Caelyra's great possibility of being an abundant world of flora, fauna and all kinds of climates. Now it is a desert, which half the time is under the immense heat of one of its stars, and in the other half, the temperatures normalize, but the damage is permanent.
But the Caelyrans adapted to such a place, this by building cities called "Oases" due to the fact that they were cities covered by a dome that regulated sunlight and radiation, as well as the climate inside, thus simulating the climate of an Earth-like planet. Over time the cities expanded, but not only to the sides, but also downwards, since it was easier to dig and build underground facilities, than small Oases around the city. And so, underground rail systems were built for safe and easy transportation from one city to another, interconnecting all of Caelyra.
Today, Caelyra is the empire's most important planet, the most densely populated site, and IRACs headquarters.
Politics and foreign relations
The type of government that exists in Caelyra is a Neo-Fascist estatocracy, where a board of military leaders and governors decide the future of the nation, together with the "emperor", who now is just a simple title; while constantly monitoring the people in search of separatist or radical ideas that could be a problem for the integrity of the nation. Such board is called "The Assembly of Sovereigns", made up of military or civilian leaders who served their glory years in the army. The title they receive when they hold that position is "Sovereign of ..." where the sector in which they are in command is added, and where they have complete control over it and its inhabitants.
This is because a simple centralist government is destined to collapse and divide, what happened in the previous Empire. Because of this, a new federal system was established that incorporated both a central and a regional government, which has worked so far, if some incidents are excluded. In total, there are 15 sectors that cover the 31 systems within the imperial territory, leaving aside the special administrative regions, as well as colonies and military systems, which are few and whose location is not of public domain. It is worth mentioning that each sector has its own army, which is responsible for doing what a police force would do, since these are non-existent within the empire.
With regard to foreign policy, there is little experience, since Caelyra, rather, the Old Empire, had always remained in its area of influence, avoiding the galactic theater, and where it grew stronger without any dispute, invading and conquering whoever opposed it, slowly growing in the shadows. But returning to the foreign policy, the Imperial culture influences it a lot, since it has been shaped by its ideologies of ethnic supremacy, which have resulted in the fact that the one who is inferior does not deserve the attention of the empire if not death or something. worst. While more advanced and clearly powerful nations, but still ethnically inferior, used to be excluded from such a thing, since the Empire had no choice, in short, it had to be intelligent and avoid conflicts with someone stronger to ensure the survival of the new nation.
In a first contact, it could be summarized that Caelyra tends to shoot first and ask questions later. But there will always be cases where this is not the case.
Relations with the exterior are practically non-existent at the moment, therefore, expect an update in the future.
Economy and Commercial Relations
The economy is still rebuilding, as the horrors of the past left a large scar that is still healing. And it doesn't help much either that previously the economy revolved around 2 things: Wars, and Weapons, which although they were 2 quite profitable areas, in the end, the economy always remained in a thin thread, and when the civil war started, riches disappeared, and hunger and deaths began to reach the homes of every Caelyrian.
And when it was all over, the past was learned and the economy was rebuilt and diversified, where the Empire opened up to agriculture, the export of raw products and the extraction of raw materials. Although they were also open to new ideas, on the more "morally wrong" spectrum are activities such as human trafficking and drug production and sales, and on the other side of the spectrum, tourism and livestock farming increased considerably.
Although the economy is not the most powerful, it is a very stable and quite diversified one, since all this is sought to avoid dependence on the outside mostly, and to be able to fend for itself.
Currently, there are no commercial relationships, but that may change in the future.
Imperial Technology (and Experiments)
- FTL -
"The VIA System, the lines that connect the Empire."
The VIA System is a series of stations that serve as a means of transportation within the empire, serving as jump points between systems. The VIA System has a complex system that allows maintaining a series of wormholes that allow immediate travel between systems and allows communications to be immediate.
Such a system arose in response to the war zones that remained after the consolidation of the empire where rebel groups raged. In conjunction with the ban on the use of FTL drives by the civilian sector and the VIA system, it was easier to hunt down the rebels, as their only safe means of escape had been slowly removed from the civilian market, now few had some FTL drive. In turn, the centralism that once reigned had practically ceased to exist with the construction of VIA systems.
The VIA System produces a wormhole by exerting a large amount of energy at a specific point, which is located in the center of the station's rings. One fact to take into account is that the stations are built at the weakest points of space-time within the systems, so the positions always vary. The VIA System can be turned off at will from the station's command center so they tend to be well defended by their own detachment of Imperial Marines and a ship wing, and of course, the station's defenses.
Ka-Ey MK4 Military FTL Drive (Hyperspace Drive)
The only FTL drive capable of being mounted on a ship within the empire, which is for the exclusive use of IRAC and IRSA. It's a fairly simple and cheap FTL, not entirely effective, but it serves its purpose well. Its function is that of a hyperspace drive, which opens a hole between an alternate dimension and the current dimension to shorten distances because the rules that govern this dimension do not affect the other. There really isn't much to talk about such an FTL drive. Nothing really makes it unique or innovative, it's just cheap and reliable.
