The Empire of the Dusted Skulls (TEDS for short)
After their reawakening the kings of a past empire have now awoken to their homes being meerly ruins, now they search the galaxy, wanting what time took away from them.
History:
Long before the skeletal reawakening there lived a great merchant empire, its wealth pouring in from many others, its populus sharing the great treasure. Though the kings that ruled that empire were satisfied, they began to fear oldness and death, they began to franticly try to find a way to immortality, going to a point of making a necromancy cult. The cult after many years managed to find a way to make dead bodies living, though through that searching time they lost interest in their own gods, stopping their worship. In the god's last breath they released a massive drought opon the empire. The sunlight too harsh and the crops dying fast, sickness, fear and violence raged through the remaining populus, then, they silenced. Many years later some adventurers managed to find the old temples of that past, only to awaken a king and his army.
Society and politics
TEDS is a monarchy with its king: Menepthat, and his wife: Kaphiri
And though its a monarchy there is a council to support the king with decisions, there is a seat for all the sectors of the empire.
And of course the royal guard (Ra-s-hotep-het (RGAS) which consists of undead with powerfull enchantments, though they only serve the purpose of protecting the king.
TEDS does use what some might consider slavery, though they state firmly that the skeletons have wiped memories,
making their only purpose now is to serve the empire. The "slaves" still get paid, though very very little.
Though the skeles tolerate living creatures they are most fond of dead, or undead things. An example could be that they would most like a green planet to be devoid of life, consumed by sand and deserts.
Race:
The race of the empire is all undead humans, though there is a large group of individuals of high ranks that through a ritual get animalistic bone-features: They are often nicknamed "Shakir"
The features of the undead humanoids go from mummified corpses with some lasting skin, to dry skeletons: Though one thing is common through all undead, they share a small glimt of light in their eye-sockets due to the magic making their souls stay in the body.
Systems and planets:
TEDS has about 3 systems, with 1-2 planets each
The three systems that embodies the reawakening territories: Ranubkheper
Home System: Psammetichus, Home World: Ta-apenha
2nd System: Tum, Planets: Tat, Kemes
3rd System: Niut, Planets: Siotio
Fleet:
TEDS's anchient origins makes the empire lacking in the space-fleet department though they still have ships up-and-running.
The whole empires fleet is divided into three parts;
Assault fleet: Pet-emenophis
Defence fleet: Kabir
Reserve fleet: Zes-mehent-per-u.
Zes-Mehent-per-u is the most powerfull of them all, though often inactive, only being used if needed and its stationed for defence in Ta-apenha
Ships
(i will add ships i just havent made much since building ships in cosmoteer is kinda boring, especially since im kinda shit :/)
Army:
The ground army of TEDS is the nations most powerfull strength, it consists of many units and many cultists are in it, bringing the nations magic into the mix.
Tech:
Since the TEDS is a very anchient faction, theyre mostly focused on improving their magic and bonely pet-creatures. The modernised tech is mostly inported from others via trade.
One of the most common magic spells is one that allows the user to create a wormhole and go to a different area, and its good through the fact that its the main way TEDS transports their units to different systems.
The magic that TEDS posseses is highly advanced, and if one of their powerfull cultist is on the battlefield after the enemy is gone, the losses on TEDS's part can be fully replenished.
The necromancers when recruiting new skeletons to the army they wipe their memory, making the final product more like a robot than the person before, the memory is capable of coming back, though it needs powerfull spells to do.
The creatures (or monstrosities) that TEDS posess are also quite strange.
There is one that roams Siotio that is the pride of the cult: Harsiesis is a massive combindment of skeletal arms into a massive pile, it lurks under the sand, luring travelers by reaching one of its millions of human arms above the sand, looking like a victim of quicksand. The disquised arm lures the person near before grabbing the person, pulling it under the sand to eventually join the pile. The size of this creature is about as big as Mount Everest, though it is all underneath the sand, it consists of mostly skeletal humanoid arms, though there is a full skeleton of a man in the middle.
Important skeles (only here so i dont forget their existance)
Harsiesis, the monster that lurks in Siotio's sand, eating all life it comes across
Nephthys, a crazed skele with the power to consume heat, now enhanced by an unknown force (@Fort_Master_Gustav )
Relations:
The Jinaris Empire @ShadowZero: Defensive/Economic pact
