gearshift48 REvenger Tson Dumb kola2134
The cannons roared whilst the Crimson Legion (@gearshift48) was heading towards their original zones, their projectiles making their way towards Avathurn, crashing into the armor of the massive beast whilst it immedietly returned fire with a volley of plasmabolts towards the fleet which was now at mid range, additionally a swarm of ftl-mines was released from Avathurns hull, heading towards the 'Tesla Rage', luckily for the Legion they had already prepared to engage point defense fire.
The UPNSF(@REvenger) started to retreat, rather successfully at that, as they didn´t fire at Avathurn he seemed to focus on other targets, so they weren´t under fire themselves, however, moving the entire fleet would still take time as the battlefield was rather big, the first ships starting to reach teh long-range zone after they had been moved inwards when Avathurn moved. In the meanwhile the new battleship arrived in the observation zone, seeing the battle from a distance. Notably, after accepting the target assistance from the Keepers, their ship computers target acquisition seemed to gain a considerable boost.
Whilst the UPNSF was moving into the observation zone the STC(@Tson) advanced from the observation- to the long-range engagement zone, immedietly firing all of its weapons, the massive railgunshot and all other munitions made their way towards the hull of Avathurn, finally without being stopped by shields and did visable damage, taking the total scale of Avathurn into account it was minimal, but still present. Avathurn in turn released a volley of ftl mines once the first projectiles hit, flying in a wide arc across the battlefield towards the STC ships.
Whatever the remnants of 'Xaneroth'(@Dumb) were, they slowly tumbled across the battlefield towards Avathurn, at it´s current speed it would take a while to reach avathurn, likely reaching the low-range engagement zone soon. Avathurn in the meanwhile didn´t seem to react to the movement, apparently not considering them a valid target anymore. At least as of now...
The Crimson Imperium(@kola2134) continued to stand their ground against Avathurn turning for a full broadside after the volley of torpedos, lighting up Avathurns hull damaging its outer armor in the sections that were hit, some areas in teh armor gleaming with the light of molten metal, although it was uncertain wether the damage was significant or just superficial, whilst they continued their volley, streaks of concentrated white light breached forward from the Avathurns Gestalt-pulse emitters, firing powerful lasers at the Imperial fleet in response to their attacks.
The Keeper Descendants continued fire, this time almost all of their artillery ships firing at Avathurn whilst bolts of golden light lit up the dark void between them and Avathurn, albeit the spinal weapons from the dreadnoughts were stopped by the ever present flares of green light, the darkmatter beams from the cruisers and battleships made it through Avathurns defenses, ripping and melting through chunks of armor.
Avathurn in turned fired it´s Subarmor turrets and kinetic cannons at their ships in the low range, the KD ships seemed to have adapted to their new positions after moving and showed a much higher efficiency in evading attacks yet anotehr one of the destroyers in the low range, two frigates and four corvettes were still damaged due to the prolonged battle.
The midrange, which had been hit with plasma bolts and kinetic pulse cannons fared less good, one of the battleships had received heavy damages but was still operational, firing away at Avathurn, one of the destroyers was not as lucky, receiving even heavier damages and starting to retreat.
In the long-range zone the ftl-mines which had made it past the defenses in the mid- and low-range were stopped by one of the light support cruisers which was damaged in the process, what the support cruisers coudl not stop in time were the Gestalt-pulse lasers that immedietly followed on the mines, hitting one the artillery battleships whilst it was firing...
Then, the green light of the decay lance stretched across the system, which was met by the 'Celestion's shields, which had already been weakened by the former impacts, then something odd happened, shortly before the lance made contact, the shields seemed to blacken and become less transparent, apparently nullifying the attack completely, then the shields went bck to their normal hue, albeit rather weak, the 'Celestion' continued charging but moved back, a number of light support cruisers and a dreadnought moving infront of it to shield it from damage. Soon after the battlereport and the transmission followed...
/Transmission Start/
"Xaneroth I do not know what you´re doing but keep in mind the proximity zone is deadly, you have suffered severe damages, retreat if you deem it neccessary!
Towards everyone else, be aware that towards the end of this engagement the Keepers will cease fire for a period of time, we need you to concentrate fire on Avathurns Gestalt-Framesections in that period so he loses focus and we can fire the main weapon of the Celestion.
Be aware that Avathurn will focus fire on whoever he deems the highest threat so be prepared if you choose to take the fire later on, we will contact you again later on this matter!"
