As the order from the Descendants came, almost everyone who could fire, fired...
The 'Tesla Rage' and it´s fleets fired all they could disregarding the heavy beating they had already taken during the battle, as the fleets cannons fired and massive rounds magnetically acclerated by their flagships main guns made their way towards Avathurn and plunged into teh armor...
The RNTU which had just recently arrived charged into battle firing missiles and railgun shells alike into the fray, warping ships into the short range zone to deal additional damage, however, it seems they lacked information, as their shots towards the singularity drives were useless, compressed into infinitely small specs upon making contact with the singularities and what they believed to be the 'propulsion drives' was in fact just the rear defense platform, fireballs exploded across the ship as the ftl-missiles hit their mark, soon they would learn moving into the short range zone was not the best idea they had.
In the meanwhile, despite having been told it would be the last opportunity, the UPNSF remained on standby in the observation zone, waiting...
Unbeknownst to most participants 'Xaneroth', or at least its core, made a quick escape from Avathurn, whilst not quick enough to prevent damages, it was at least fast enough to survive, due to the sheer size of Avathurn the recoil of the Railgun did barely anything to him and the desintegrating field still affected the core on its way out, however, luckily for Xaneroth it was mostly external damage.
The Imperial fleet on the other hand kept on firing despite having taken heavy losses due to being in the center of Avathurns attention, ships across the entire formation were scorched, some burnt out or shattered completely, but the Imperial forces did not give in.
Another volley of cannon shots and plasma beams fired from all remaining ships, missiles and torpedos following them on the heel, just moments before the spinally mounted weapons fired...
Interestingly enough, Avathurn didn´t fire back, it seemed to be fully concentrated on its retreat.
Almost fully.
As the spinal mounted weapons and torpedos of the Imperium fired, flashes of green light flared up between the fleet and Avathurn, the beams and torpedos fading into nothingness upon making contact with Avathruns obscure defensive systems...
But, it was not in vain.
Almost immedietly after the Imperium had fired its last volley, the Keeper Descendants fleet opened fire again, after holding it for the last few minutes. Bolts of golden light, fired from weapon batteries across all ships from the fleet, reaching from the smaller batteries from corvettes and frigates, to the largest batteries from the dreadnoughts and the Celestion itself, which almost had the size of the aftermentioned corvettes.
Artillery ships aligned their axis with Avathurns position and spinal darkmatter artillery beams stretched across the void in matter of moments...
Arcs of green lightning stretched across Avathurns surface areas, as the fleets fired, whilst it was able to stop the Imperiums artillery due to having it in it´s focus, thanks that same focus, the Keeper Descendants artillery came through. explosions raged across the outer shell of the ship as the darkmatter collided with the armor, heating it to impossibly high temeperatures.
An infernal, metallic, multi-voiced screeching was heard across the comms, not coming from any of the fleets, instead, likely from Avathurn, wether that was an intentional effect was unknown, but the green glow increased...
Then space fell silent for another moment, the Celestion was slightly tilted sidewards towards Avathurn, and an orb of indescribable darkness rose from the ships center, the orb seemed to be held in place with strings of pure light, then...
The core seemed to erupt, an ominous darkness stretched across the void, distinct even against the void and the stars, the impact zone lighted up like a star only for the light to be swalled by the darkness immedietly again whilst the beam moved across Avathurns front section, leaving behind a path of molten, scorched metal...
The firing cycle was five seconds long, then the energy signature of the weapon broke down and the energy sinature of the Celestion lowered considerably...
But it did not matter anymore, one of the frontal shield rings of Avathurn had went dark, another screeching even more violent than the first one came through the comms, then Avathurn seemed to explode into a flare of green light, the universe bent and stretched to it´s will and the destructive effects of it´s aura rolled like a wave over over the proximity and low-range zone, desintegrating everything unfortunaty enough to stand in it´s way, much to the misfortune of the RNTU...
...
Then, darkness returned to space, the last few projectiles flew off into the void, lacking a target and weapon batteries fell silent...
Avathurn was... gone.
The Keeper fleet started to move back together into a singular formation and a Transmission came...
/Transmission Start/
"All remaining present ships and fleets, report in. Avathurn has been beaten back, I repeat, Avathurn has fled the field. Good work everyone."
The transmission stayed open this time and the woman at in the bridge of the Celestion seemed to wait for all present groups to report back.
Battle report:
'Avathurn has been driven back. Mission successful.'
